Hello! This article is going to explain how Congress Discussion, Proposals, Voting and Citizenship will work this month.

Most of this information is for Congressmen but anyone can get involved with Proposals and Citizenship! It is explained in detail below but for those of you who just want the quick links:

Discussion
For Congressmen and Government Ministers, there is an in game group mail for Announcements and another for Discussion.

Please use the Discussion mail for Private Discussion on any topic and the Announcements mail to link articles for Public Discussion. You will also get information from Ministers about in game law proposals such as MPPs in the Announcements mail.

To join please accept or send a friend request to the MoLA (Sage Goku) to turn this feature on. You can opt out of any part of this if you choose.

Most discussion will be done through in game articles, if you believe that your article is important please PM it to me so that I can add a link to this month's MoLA archive. You can find an archive of last month's discussions here:

IRC
For real time discussions by Congressmen and Government Ministers, the Government Sensitive Channel is #uk.parliament on Rizon IRC. Please join this when you are playing eRepublik.

If you are in Congress or a Minister without access to this, your first job is to get onto Rizon IRC ( http://www.rizon.net/chat ), click connect and register your nickname ( http://wiki.rizon.net/index.php?title=Register_your_nickname ).

Then either PM me on Rizon IRC ( /query SageGoku ) or here in game with your IRC Nickname so that I can add you to the channel. If you try to join without me adding you, you will be banned so let me know if that happens!




Proposals
Anyone can propose that Congress or the Government does something by sending a petition to us. To send a petition to Congress, please fill in this form:

Petitions will be put up in a second form or article for the public to sponsor and the most popular will be presented to Congress to vote on.

Anything involving an in game Congress vote will be done if accepted by Congress, other things (like how Ministries work) will be taken as advice but you can judge your impeach and election votes on how much advice has been accepted/rejected!




Citizenship
If you are in Congress you can give out Citizenship Passes to allow Foreign Citizens to become UK Citizens. Ad😛

Sometimes helpful people apply and sometimes malicious people apply, to help you decide who is a good choice and who is a bad choice please check the citizenship request spread sheet for who has applied and what Judgements have been made on them:
