[FM 6th Regiment] Announcement from the Captain
NLSP
Dear esteemed soldiers of Funky Militia's 6th Regiment,
as announced, there is a small competition, specially made for you!
You have been divided into two platoons:
Platoon Alpha: Gibbomd, Kori white, MaryamQ, Abunex, xSile, Nohjis, BrunoCND, Bri2048, Kiyonori Dragnier, Ayleo, Ewan Dougall, BelgiumGeneral, NT Games, Azereon, Robin Redcap, mrbeef, minidog69 and catrino
Platoon Bravo: dan the mann, Master Hofkens, Tensa Zangetsu san, Helviro, AndreasC, Critically, sirjames98, Renkie, ReapersBlade, Sx80, MCKitkat, Luke Braferd, Mr. Wonka, Petro Petro Obama, F.N.B. and nevraxx
The few regiment members that didn't accepted my friendship request, don't have a platoon and for fairness, I will not be part of a platoon either.
For 7 consecutive days, you will do your utmost best and work together as a team to win points for you and your regiment. The regiment with the highest points wins.
What are the prizes? 150 Q7 guns and the honour of being part of the winning platoon. The prizes are coming from a generous donation of 100 Q7 guns from our MU Commander, Nohjis, and a 50 Q7 gun donation from your Captain NLSP (Sorry Critically, you will have to wait a bit longer before I pay you back 😉
)
How are the prizes divided? The first 3 of each platoon receive respectively 15, 10 and 5 Q7 weapons. The other 90 guns are given to the winning platoon, everyone of the winning platoon who has individually at least 5 points, get (as much as possible) an equal share of the 90 guns.
Example: when there are 14 eligible soldiers, all 14 will get 6 Q7 weapons. There are then still 6 guns left, they will be given to the 6 soldiers of this platoon who scored the most.

So what did you notice? There is a Platoon assignment!
As everyone should know, there is in our MU, a very Funky person, that makes sure that everyone has enough to eat. This is Lord Cronosyn. However, you need food to feed people. Every platoon should start one (or more) different actions that provides food for this. The idea is NOT that you pay for this out of your pocket, no you should organize something that have as result food coming in. Maybe a mini-game that has a fee to play it, maybe a lottery, maybe something else. Be creative! (You can however participate with the action you organize yourself)
All the food you assemble for this, need to be donated to me EXACTLY on day 7 of the competition, together with a message to me AND you should during the competition mention the action in your platoon PM.
Note: Every platoon can do multiple actions!
What can you win?
The best creative action: 20 points
The most food assemble😛
25 points
Furthermore, you have for 5 days long some individual assignments. There are always 3 assignments
1) Fight
2) Knowledge
3) Creative
Fight: If I check in the MU every day how much eRep said that you fought, you can get points
1 point if eRep says 25 or more
2 points if eRep says 75 or more
3 points if eRep says 200 or more
Knowledge: I ask a question, you give the answer (points depend on the question)
Creative: You need to do something creative (it could involve trying to obtain a regiment motto, a regiment emblem, a regiment mascot, a regiment name)
you get always 1 point for sending an entry
I always pick one (or two or three) creative or funny ones, who get additional points
In the Questionnaire, you will be able to chose your favourite entry for each category. The winner will get additional points as-well.
Important question: what happens if it turns out that there is a loophole, someone cheats, a mistake has been made, a change in game mechanics makes (a part of) the competition useless? your captain (that is me), will decide what happens. There is no appeal possible against his decision and he is not liable for any damage you may or may not have suffered as a consequence of this decision. He might be able to give you a tissue, so you can cry a bit, but that is not a guarantee.
Good luck for both platoons!
Yours truly,
NLSP, Proud Captain of 6th Regiment, Funky Militia
Comments
great stuff!
Thanks 🙂
Let's go, Platoon Alpha!
You guys have too many (ex) Belgians 😛
No, we need more!
Nah, not going to happen, we can't compete with you, NLSP and nohjis 😃
There's other people to compete with y'know...
Voted, Looks like I'm in the wrong regiment 🙁
Have fun though 6th o7
your regiment may also organize something in the future 🙂
I hope so, But I'm just happy being in Funky anyway 😃
100 gbp on nohjis' platoon
😶
don't underestimate the enthusiasm of Mr. Wonka 😉
I demand Nohjis is in a platoon by himself 😛
How can you go beyond your own expectations if you aren't properly challenged 😉 ?
Up against a CP and all. Are you admitting that MU > Politics ?
No no! Nohjis is clearly an alpha male!
He thinks of himself maybe like this, but if that is also true ....
o7
lol, 8 belgians (or ex belgians) in each platoon
Regiment 6 is the Belgian regiment 😉
Why does the rest of the eUK need to know this?
so you would know what you miss 🙂
If any of the redcoats were aiming for you, we wouldn't miss
yes, you would, cause you don't have the funky attitude 😉
Do you happen to have a private section in the media for Red Coats ? If so, I would love to have the information on how to get one.
Don't you have a MU feed? or IRC channel?
MU feed is limited to 160 characters per post. It is clearly impossible to fit this article in the feed. If it needs to be published elsewhere, might as well be inside the game.
A large majority of players doesn't use IRC at all and while it's a great tool for direct communication, again, publishing a large article with background information for a competition of a single regiment isn't going to be that easy.
Group PM are limited to 30 people and there are two of those set up for the regiment in which the competition is held. But again it's not an easy place to put a placeholder of information in.
Don't be grumpy, I'ld love to see some Red Coats activities reaching top 5 in the media as well. At least it shows other players that the game isn't dead and that there are fun things being done in the eUK community.
Unfortunately you can't publish articles for just a limited audience. Perhaps if mainstream media were a little more lively this wouldn't have reached top 5
Congratulations you've achieved the rank of Grumpy*** 🙂
