Feducation(Getting Started in Politics)
_{IndexInfinity} 1) With the way the game currently is, entering politics is easy. If you stay on the sidelines, things might get boring, so be ready to get yourself out there. Before Country President elections, read up on every candidate.

2) Message each candidate requesting a position as a deputy on their cabinet. You don't need tons of experience or knowledge, just some dedication and well written request.

2b) A great tip. Get a job in the party. At the end of the day, your party makes the call on whether or not you get into congress. Proving yourself to leadership is incredibly important. The ideal place to do this is FedEx. It's the hardest job to do, and therefore the ideal proving ground for any young and ambitious Fed.

3) You will get a government and party job. You may not have a choice as to where you're put, but honestly there is no end to a need for deputies or staff, so you will easily get a position.

4) Work hard, make friends. Do your job well, actively seek new jobs, and try to make life as easy as possible for the secretary. Don't ask things you can't figure out yourself, and they will recognize your work

5) Once you have worked as a deputy twice, apply to Fed congress. List the secretaries you worked under, what you did, and what your positions were. You should get in, if you don't, work again as a deputy and apply again. Leadership loves new blood, so as long as you show initiative you have a shot

6) Actively push your ideas in congress, comment and discuss on other ideas, show up for every quorum, and vote on every major issue. Congress is the place where you meet other people, make change for the country, and push the goals of your party. This is where you meet presidents, department secretaries, and generally any pro you can imagine. Congress can be petty and ridiculous, but it is where you need to be if you want to make it up the ladder.

This, of course, is different for every person. That said, I've talked to multiple "up and coming" people, and came up with these steps. If you have any other questions feel free to message me in-game or find me on IRC.


1 | What is HAMMER ?

This is possibly the most important aspect of the game if you’re going to be a fighter.  You see that ‘upgrade’ button?  Pay attention closely.

HAMMER is a program to assist players in upgrading their Weight Room to Q4. This will allow the player to train for the most strength for free.


These are the upgrade costs.  Expensive?  Yes, even when there are sporadic discounts.  For example, when you see something like this ‘event’ going on this is the best time to upgrade your Training Center.
This is what a fully upgraded FREE training center looks like. You can train 20 strength a day.

How do I get in HAMMER?

Lets take you through the steps.

2 | More free stuff for our other SHIELD fighters!

Starting with day 1973, SHIELD began doing a daily series of announcements known as 'Daily Briefing and Supply Drop.' This announcement combined the standard briefing given to most military unit soldiers with supply requests. SHIELD soldiers would post in the thread their name, link, whether they completed the daily orders, and what they were requesting: food, weapons, or both. A Quartermaster would then supply the soldier.

SHIELD has consistently provided supplies to its members for over 400 days.  That is over 40,000 Q7 tanks* and over 6,000,000 food (energy)* it has supplied to its members.

What are the requirements?

Today we are with a famous Fed who has devoted a lot of time, effort, and dedication to the success of this party. We need new members to have role models, or at the very least, allow them to see what can be achieved.  So I would like to first introduce my guest, who is well respected in the eWorld, as a person and as a FED.  So please feast your eyes on the amazing Melissa Rose!

Arith Sevarinthe: Let’s begin with question number one. Melissa Rose, what are the awesome times you had when you first joined the Federalist Party?

Melissa Rose: The most fun I had when I first joined the Feds was as political director. Staying up late on election night, sniping seats. Good times

AS: Question two. Who did you look up to when you first joined the Federalist Party?

MR: Firesand  was the political director that got me active in the Feds. I have always and will always respect him

AS: Question three. What are some achievements that you have accomplished in the party, and do you have any words of wisdom that you can share for the new members of our party?

MR: I think we'd probably be better if I told you what I haven't done. I really don't like to talk about achievements and accomplishments it feels too much like bragging.

To New feds: Always be honest with how you feel about something but remember that there is a person behind the other screen.

AS: Question Four. What are your goals for this term in congress?

MR: To learn. I've only been in congress 3 other times and once was as a blocker who got snipped in. I know very little about how congress works

AS: Question Five. What do you believe makes a better Fed?

MR: Being willing to speak your mind no matter what

MR: Because he was being chased by a three headed monkey that had a fear of crossing roads

Feds Up 7 Up

I joined Erep about 5 weeks ago, with no prior in game connections, so I was basically faced with what seemed to be an exclusive, daunting game with far too much meta-gaming and far too little useful new player's introduction mechanisms. All I had to guide me was the generic welcoming PM from the eUS president.  I signed up for USAF flight training and some DOE mentorship programs. It took three weeks for the USAF to answer, from the latter I never heard till this day.
Luckily, I also received PMs from two top 5 parties, one of which was the Feds. I decided to try the Feds because I could relate to its altruistic creed and because I thought that a party with such a P/H motto had to be a bit crazy and almost certainly fun.

My first interaction was with the military wing, Shield, and its leadership: Wookyjack, Crashthompson and BamaBettie, who together made up an enthusiastic and inspirational welcoming committee. My desire to contribute was quickly recognized, and 4 weeks later I'm an assistant director at Hammer, probably the Best military module door opener in the new world (a new player with military aspirations who isn't  with Hammer is doing something wrong).

As for the party leadership itself, I think "trust" is the word I'm looking for. About one week into my Fed career I was entrusted with the "No Fed Left Behind" supply program as its QM. Moreover, three weeks later I'm already an eUS Congressman. I think this in itself is incredible, especially considering that the party just emerged from a very shaky congressional term newbie-wise. I'd also like to point out Abraham Lincoln and BamaBettie (again) as the two directors who gave me my first party jobs and walked me through my first steps in the community.

In conclusion, The Feds offer amply opportunity for a new player. This isn't to say that you just waltz in and get drenched in honors and gold. This is to say that if you're a hard worker, who genuinely wants to be an active contributor to a political community, I doubt you'll find a more generous and welcoming group or a better way to experience Erep.

My name is Sniper80 a proud and horny member of the strongest party of the eUS. I joined FEDs at my birthday and it would be my last place in a normal condition. I completed my basic training in flighttraining and it was a great experience, but I made a big mistake by joining the USAF without considering their code carefully. Based on the USAF regulatory code the daily supply must be used in battle fields and no one has the right to sell them in the market. This was contradictory with what I learned through the training and other guides which strongly prohibit newplayers from fighting with low strength level. Then I asked the SHIELD captain "WookyJack" if I can join them, and the answer was " YES". This was the turning point in my eRepublik game, as SHIELD and FEDs provided me opportunities to be more active in this game.  I worked in FEDex when it was more active than now with at least three to four issue weekly. Some of the FEDex player might remember how fast I was working until, a new robot was implemented in Fedex, and we lost our job 🙂.
I joined the Hammer program in May 2014, and I was able to upgrade my first two training centers to level 4 in less than one month thanks to Crushthompson, Sunyrainy and YutoKaron.
Hammer is the only place that newplayer should go to start their erepublik journey. It is a must not a should.
This program provides valuable guide on the war module, and so far is the best article in this subject among all the article I have seen in the game ( I have read more than 100 guides from various resources). In addition, Hammer provides gold for the trainees to become strong backbone of the SHIELD. They can easily head-shot each enemy who has the courage to stand when see a SHIELD agent.
I had the opportunity to extend my game to a higher level. I wrote three educational articles

After one month working in the new player involvement program, I was selected as the new director of the program, which is a great program to guide newplayers step by step in order to avoid any mistake. In addition, we provide them federal, Military or party jobs which can increase their contribution in the game while they are in the holding position. We are currently working on providing the best guides and mentorship for our young players, and with support of amazing programs such as HAMMER, we will have a strong and knowledgeable generation in less than 3 months.
In addition, I was part of the ATO team which successfully completed two ATO operations, one here in eUS and one in UK. Currently, I am experiencing my second attendance in the congress, and I would like to express my appreciation toward the FEDs team for their effort and providing political opportunities for their young members. We were able to approve the tax reduction to 8% in previous experience to keep our party's promise, and hope we can have another successful performance this month.
I am running some contests with support of DoE and FED's fun department to provide some give away to young players as a gift which can be used to upgrade their training centers.
Despite of my hard effort, I haven't won any FED award yet, because all of you guys are awesome and tireless, specially our Hammer queen "BB".
