Just got in to the office. On the drive into work, thought about the drama building, and decided to keep a record of today. As of yesterday, I had spoken with the 3 party presidents who were having their little protest and all assured me that lists will be submitted by reset and they will have their candidates in place. Am hoping that the day will proceed with minimal conflict and we might see some holiday spirit.

4:35 Logged in. Scan the top5 articles. Chickenguys, an article on Congress, something from Inwegen, Oh look, the Feds have published an article again on all that is wrong with the FEC, and at least the DoD orders are in the top 5 for now. jankems will be somewhat happy.

Scan the Fed article. Will think of responding at some point when I have free time.

4:45 Log in on IRC to a 7 key channels. Not a whole lot of people up yet. Bring up the FEC worksheet to see what occurred while I was sleeping. Change the view settings and lock the sheet so we can start verification.

Preliminary review

SEES - all candidates in and color coded. At least someone is playing nice.

UIP - 23 open slots. Good thing greene12 told me that the Feds will be sending blockers to cover the UIP. No color coding from the UIP or any of the other parties 🙁

Feds - all slots covered

Libs- all slots covered

USWP - WTF??? no candidates listed for region placement. How are we to verify placement with no list.

Go to USWP irc channel. No party leaders there 🙁

Time to go make some coffee. It is going to be a long day I fear


5:04 - coffee brewing

sent forum pm off to the USWP leadership informing them they have not submitted a list.

With USWP not supplying list, currently we need 80 blockers. Oh joy


5:17 Recovering from panic attack as all interwebs connection fail. Reboot and all is good

5:21 Oh look. We picked up Chugoku. 5 more blockers needed

5:30 Valley of Mexico? 5 more blockers needed. 90 so far, with holes starting to appear.

5:33 completed review of SEES. 24 missing candidates. 114 Blockers now needed.

5:44 UIP review done. 12 missing. 126 Blockers now needed. Time to get that coffee.

5:55 Fed review - appears that none of the names match the placement. That means that NO fed candidate can be verified. Could we sit here and spend a lot of time figuring it out, yeah. But why the hell should we? 183 blockers now needed.

6:09 - Lib review done - 8 blockers needed. Total at the moment 191. Informing JCS and POTUS

6:22 - awaiting list from USWP leadership. Fed leadership still tucked in their beds I presume.

6:42 - verified USWP List - 51 candidates verified. 6 missing 140 Blockers still needed.

8:38 - attended to some real life work. sent out directions and mt to cover all the open slots and starting to cover the 2 new regions.


12:26 After dealing with more RL work place fun and games, we have also been able to update the worksheet with the listings of all 5 parties. A few people are still making changes to the line ups, even though all lists were to be finalized yesterday, to allow us to spend the whole day verifying and placing blockers.

We are now down to 48 Missing Candidates and 6 FEC Blockers waiting to show up in place.

I will be back later on cause I need to go drive in RL, but my deputy director is taking over the reins for handling blocker placement.

21:21 - all is supposedly safe. going to bed cause I need to get up for work in a few hours. Thanks to Claire and everyone that helped.
