*Exclusive Interview* - "The Beginner, the Experienced, and the Buisness Owner"

0 Day 571, 16:57 Canada
This week, I have decided to interview 3 people, of the following types:beginner, experienced, and a successful business owner. I have asked all of them the exact same question. Please leave your comments down below.

Interview with the "beginner":

Q: Are you happy with the citizen fee?and do you feel it should be bigger/smaller?

A: It was an appropriate amount to start with. I had enough to buy 2 days of food and by day 2 I understood about jobs and training (enough to keep myself going). Now I like that I am earning a bit more as my wage goes up and I'm able to manage my wellness as well. After reading some other comments on this subject, I understand that the citizen fee is paid by the government of Canada and it drains their coffers when people browse the game but don't actually play (now there would be an interesting way to take down an economy - say Sweden !?!?!). I think it is fine as it is. Maybe a quarterly review based upon inflation and market fluctuations.

Q: How bigger or smaller would you want it to be?

A: As stated above. (Although this is a leading question to Q1)

Q: are you you happy with our current leader and parliaments?

A: I joined eRepublik about two or three days before our election. I would not have voted for Jacobi at first, but I'm not exactly opposed to him either. Same with Alex Rearden and the scandals that he ended his MoF duties with. Sort of like real-Canada, where the Prime Minister doesn't effect my daily life. As I expand my interests in this game and try for Party Leadership (maybe), I might find my choice in leader more picky. I think there is a reason why newbies can't vote (besides spam voting) and that is because we don't understand the machine that runs the game yet and therefore cannot make an informed decision.

Q: what do you think would make Canada a better place to be a citizen in?

A: I feel held back by some of the eRepublik time frames for leveling. I would like to get involved in politics, but I was surprised to find the forums requires a separate login to eRepublik and I haven't done it yet because I feel like it is another phish for my e-mail and login type details. I guess I would have liked a better introduction to the game by a fellow eCanadian. Maybe experienced players can mentor new ones in some basics and be available to answer the newbie questions. I'd feel more connected to the group as a whole then. (A questionnaire given to newbies could make sure that general political, fiscal and military views are compatible with the mentor.) It would also probably avoid the subterfuge that recently happened in eGermany.
I'd like some feedback on this as well. What are your opinions?

Next I interviewed the "experienced":

Q: Are you happy with the citizen fee?and do you feel it should be bigger/smaller?

A: I am happy with the citizen fee. New citizens who require more money need only sign up on the forums and talk to the immigration minister (or some such position) and they will receive a larger amount of money. This is a smart move by the government it prevents people from multi-ing to steal money

Q: how bigger or smaller would you want it to be?

A: If anything, I would increase the citizen fee to 7-9 CAD, but that is not something I think necessary.

Q: are you you happy with our current leader and parliaments?

A: I would be happier with Alex Rearden and his proposed administration, but i do believe we have a strong congress, a strong cabinet, and a president with the potential to do a good job.

Q: what do you think would make Canada a better place to be a citizen in?

A: Canadian citizens need to have more energy and activity. Aside from a strong core of players,we need to get many more active players to enjoy themselves, we need to make contests, competitions, positions of responsibility, training centers, etc... to help get new people involved and hooked.

Finally, I interviewed the "business owner":

Q: Are you happy with the citizen fee?and do you feel it should be bigger/smaller?

A: To be perfectly honest I don't actually know what the citizen fee is/does, so I don't really care about it one way or the other...I'm unedumacated...

Q:are you you happy with our current leader and parliaments?

A: I've been a staunch CEP supporter for some time and voted for Rearden in the recent elections. My understanding of eRep is that it is a war-based game with interesting economics simulation and some fun role-play--but ultimately war-based. War drives economy, both in wellness and in production/sales; war builds a sense of national unity and grants resources to new resources; war even enhances role play. The CEP has been the most war-oriented party and thus the party for me.
Voting for AR was a tough choice. I see a lot of potential in Jacobi, I'm looking forward to him getting his administration rolling. I think he'll do a good job giving us national direction and I hope/expect he'll get us some more battles soon! The last piece of advice I would give him would be to have his MoF buy gold of the monetary market like AR used to.

Q: what do you think would make Canada a better place to be a citizen in?

A: I think Canada is already a great place: we have decent wages for employees, a nice spread of parties and even a religion for those who like roll-play. We also have lots of natural resources and a good labour pool for entrepreneurs. I was proud to see how we supported Germany in the recent turmoil.
I think the number one thing that would make eCanada a better place to live would be even more battles! When a citizen has regular access to battles they get improved wellness and their employers pay them more, and more importantly they can get up to 10 extra XP per day!!! That's like eAging more than 3 times as quickly. Eventually gaining levels gets citizens levels that come with gold. This gives a boost to the economy and gives citizens the starting capital to try out their own business ventures or buy a nice house.
