[eV4CP] Introduction

Hello citizens of eBelgium,
As most of you have probably seen I'm running for the position of President of eBelgium. I'm running through The Belgian Dream party, but other Parties expressed their support for me already and I give them my thanks for that.

This article is an introduction about me, my plans and some of the cabinet. But I will publish more detailed programme as well as the full cabinet in the next few days.

So, who is e Vladimir?
I will be short in my introduction. e Vladimir is an eBelgian citizen for more than a year, I came to eBelgium in June 2013 and remained here ever since. The reasons for my decision to stay here are plenty, I liked the community right from the start, made some really good friends along the way too, plenty of friends. I was actively involved in politics and in the community in general pretty much all of my time here. After all this time here I feel more eBelgian than eMacedonian (my RL country). But I don't want to bore you with my background, because most of you already know me and what I'm all about. If anyone is interested this is an article where they can learn more.

Why candidate for CP now?
Everything I've done so far was for the best of eBelgium - naturally from my point of view - and naturally there are people that will disagree with that, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But that is a constant political debate in eBE for as long as I can remember. Anyway, I've explored most of the things that this games' political module has to offer bar the Country Presidency. I've had the wish to someday become CP and experience this aspect of the game too, but it's a wish that emerged only recently and in the wake of some difficult times that are coming our way.
Although I am fairly experienced as a politician, if I get elected, it will be a first for me in the new role. I will be learning much, so I'll try my best to do the job well and make as little mistakes as possible. Yes, mistakes are a possibility, I'm not perfect - no one is. But I will take responsibility if such things happen with all my integrity and reputation. I can promise however, my full commitment to the best of my abilities and that I'll be active in-game and on IRC (I haven't been for awhile).

What are my plans?
Well, this part is the most important. I still have to crystallize the full list since my decision to run for CP came not so long ago, but I can say that most of the things that I'll be preoccupied with are the things that happened most recently and such things will define the path of my Presidency. These last few days there were stuff going on in eBE that need urgent attention.
One thing is the Airstrike proposal by eIsrael which is most certainly tipped to pass. We will have a war which we haven't provoked in any way, but it's not necessarily a bad thing, as it will give the community some shaking up, having more fun and the opportunity to win TP medals. The current Government and the Congress is already working in that direction, signing MPP's and getting ready for this war. The Epic Warfare rewards distributed among the eBelgian military units couldn't have came in the more appropriate time it seems. We all need to stock up, lock & load for the coming battle.
The other thing is the baby-boom explosion happening in eBE right now. As you know there are more than two hundred new players in eBE today only! Many of them are already organized in their own Party and their own MU. It does come very unexpected and so massively and this means fundamental changes in the political landscape of the country. My main objective will be to try and educate and integrate the new players in the community, so I plan on having the biggest team in the Ministry of Education. In the next period there should be more educational articles for the newbies by the MoE. Dig out old tutorials, republish and update and also publishing new ones. eBelgium can prosper by this baby-boom on the long run, but we have to make sure many of them will stay in the game and continue playing. For this I'm considering starting a mentorship program but I don't know if there's gonna be enough interested people to be mentors. There are way too many new players coming in now, much more than we have old players.
The last thing is the new developments in the eWorld politics, we've seen the collapse of Sirius, regrouping within other alliances as well and many countries are in the process of finding their place in the newly created situation. I will be looking to continue the discussions within the community and with our friends about the future steps of eBelgium in that direction.

My Cabinet
As I said my full cabinet is not still completed and I plan on writing a separate article about that. I use this opportunity to invite all players that want to participate in the eventual Government, if you want to be in the cabinet don’t hesitate to contact me by PM with the position you are interested in as well as your past experience (experience is not a requirement). I will also accept the younger players who want to gain experience. These are the players that have confirmed their participation till now:

This fella started the baby-boom, I'm not sure if he realizes what sort of power he holds at the moment knowing our player base before the boom. The new circumstances totally disrupts the balance now, which can be seen both way positive and negative, time will tell. However, he agreed to step down as CP candidate for now and use this term to learn the game mechanics and gain more experience in politics. This is why he is in the cabinet.

Final words
I hope I'll get your support on the 5th of December, I want to do what's best during the mandate if you’ll give me the chance. I want to thank again the Parties that have supported me for this campaign, I hope I will not let anyone down.
