Do This: Save your gold when you first start eRep. Use it to buy a raw material company (grain or iron) when you reach level 12

Not That: DON'T BUY Q1 or Q2 or Q3 or maybe Q4 gun companies! All are inefficient and will not allow you to make much of any profit.


Do This: Learn the mechanics of the game. Check out the Dept of Education Information Web and the eRepublik Wiki. Be proactive!

Not That: Don't try to run for congress one month after joining the game, after not joining either the eUS forum community or the eUS Training Corp. Don't rage after your party doesn't support you if you didn't work hard to make yourself an attractive candidate.


Do This: Friend request ligtreb

Not That: Don't accept friend requests from Pizza the Hut


Do This: Get on IRC and meet people! Some good first time rooms are #tc and #usa-interior

Not That: Don't log in once, look around and see the Turkish articles in the Top 5, and run away. There is a thriving America community if you get onto the national forum or IRC and ask questions and join in the fun.


Do This: Donate surplus food to the Dept of Interior MoW UltraReserve.

Not That: Don't not donate surplus food to the Dept of Interior MoW UltraReserve. 😁


Do This: Join the military or a militia. They will provide you with daily food and a great community to be a part of. Also, great avatar artists will create an avi for you.

Not That: Don't be a one man army from the start. You'll be lonely and broke and will probably not be fighting in the most important battles at all times.


Do This: Subscribe to the DoD Orders, DoE Education paper, and the White House Press Room.

Not That: Don't ignore the media portion of the game!


Do This: Make some friends and enjoy this big game!
