[eUK] Our Plan... Succeeded

Day 2,627, 03:24 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by WayneKerr

Less than a year ago, some big time eUK players claimed that eUK was a sinking ship, soon to be shunned by alliances worth a damn and no doubt wiped 'just like eFrance'. These claims where made by people desperate to cling onto power and prestige within our community and the wider international scene, trying to reignite the long faded star that they had once been... Their light went out, a few ran off to different countries, others claimed to be committing eSuicide, while others simply sat back, kept quiet and hoped to someday be able to utter those immortal words 'I told you so!'

Today (or maybe it was yesterday), eUK finally completed a long held dream for many and the subject of many political bawfests over the years. Acquire maximum weapon bonuses!

Personally, I couldn't care less, I have no factories anyway...

While it's true the eUK has suffered this past year or so, it's never really been the fault of the players or who is 'in charge', more to do with the fact the game is just sh*t. Even those of us that are the more active players recognise this, it's just for a lot of us, past memories of the 'good times' and the cost both monetary and due to time wasted, keep us clicking away.

We will very soon sit atop natural bonuses of 100/80/60. Not bad going at all, for a bunch of 'derps that are lost without TUP'.

This has the power to fundamentally change the eUK. Not only does it make our small nation more of a prize for those strong enough and rich enough to hold all our regions, it also allows us to not have to go in search of the magical 10/10 bonuses, bending other countries noses out of shape. Freeing us from many of the shackles other countries are preoccupied with. No longer will we need to go to war to improve our production levels, instead we can fight at our leisure, for the lulz or for something as simple as justice.

We've enjoyed a good six months, but the next six months will be crucial.

I'm unsure as to whether this is could be a good thing or a bad thing for the pixel regions on a screen we call eHome.

What do you lot think?
