[ESO] Weekly Round-up - Let the Wookie Win!

1. ESO Presidential Poll

Following our internal party poll, ESO has voted to support WookieO in the upcoming CP elections! Make sure to vote on September 5th for CP. Talon Karrde also received significant support. The discussion surrounding candidate selection was based on an experience vs. the need for a new tone in the political sphere. I think it is fair to say that Talon has a sterling reputation as being a hardworking and tenacious player, but this month our voters demonstrated that WookieO has been able to win support with his promise of a new style of leadership and his positive messaging.

With that said, I urge all voters to follow their respective conscience and vote for the candidate of their choice. ESO has always supported the right of our members to choose candidates based on their individual preferences and values. We are lucky to have a slate of qualified candidates this month, and I look forward to seeing the results. Best wishes to all candidates!

Also – unfortunately I think I blundered and misread the game mechanics. I am unable to ‘officially’ support WookieO ingame. I apologize profusely for this, the fault is mine alone.

2. NHS Donations

This week, ESO players donated an astounding amount of food for the NHS. I am very proud to report that this week we will be donating 135,000 WELLNESS on behalf of the party to the NHS director. That is enough to supply 270 players with full health for a day! AMAZING!!! We are also actively directing new players to this scheme, and encourage all parties to do the same.

I had hoped ESO would have more sense than to vote someone with absolutely no experience whatsoever for CP.

Grossly unfair to rest so much responsibility on older players to pick up the slack

No one is asking the older players to pick up anything, I'm sure Wook wouldn't want you to hurt your back.

You are always involved at some level of eUK Government, you are a well known figure in the eWorld. It seems people want a internally looking CP for a change. Guys such as you, Talon, Kravenn have always been in around the forig affairs direction of the eUK regardless of CP without so much as a whimper of 'having to pick up slack'. Why the sudden change?
