The entries have been read. The scores have been tabulated. Now, it's time to announce the results of the Department of Education's September-October writing contest.

With two divisions, this month's contest had quite a bit of prize money at stake. The judges appreciated all of the eligible entries our department received, but were able to pick two grand prize winners (carrying a prize of 10 gold) and a runner-up (1000 USD). So, without further ado, here are the results!
