[DoE] Press Release 2/16/2015

Day 2,645, 18:03 Published in USA USA by Department of Citizen Affairs

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FEBRUARY 16TH PRESS RELEASE

Hello America,

It has been another busy term for the Department. Almost two weeks or half way through and we have been noticing an increasing effect of the department programs on the community. These effects have been especially noticeable in the American University and Question of the Day Programs. We appreciate the participation of the community in making these programs successful and we encourage even more people to join us. If you are interested in helping out at the DoE, please contact Secretary Blande. We are looking for American University Mentors.

Question of the Day

The Question of the Day program has been functioning excellently this term. We have seen a marked increase in responses from 6.5 daily last term to 11 responses daily this term. While the wait period has reduced from an excellent 12 hours turnaround last term to about 24 hours this term, it has been due to rl complications which should be taken care of now. This program continues to be a bright spot of the Department and serves as an excellent platform for educating the eUS population.

Even so, more can be done to improve the response to the program. Look in the upcoming days for new and revised QotD questions. The new questions are now under the final review phase.

Guides

Not much has been done this term on the guides front, due mainly again to rl conflicts and focus on the American University. This is about to change. As promised in the last DoE Press Release, we will be bringing out a new line of guides to build on our meta-game section. These guides will be focusing on the Executive Departments and they roles they play. The first should be out on Wednesday, we advise you keep your eyes open for it!

With that said, we want to thank you for reading this press release and we will appreciate any suggestions you have for us. You can send those through PM or you can do it in person on IRC in #eUSA-DoE.

Sincerely,
Department of Education
