This is the third in a series of articles that aim to extend our educational material on the meta-game.



ORGANIZATION:

The Department of Homeland Security is part of the Executive Branch. Created by the President under the authority derived from Section III of the eUS Constitution.

The Department is headed by the Secretary of Homeland Security who reports directly to the President or a designated adviser. For the most part, the Department of Homeland Security is run by just the Secretary, with volunteers stepping in when needed.

The Secretary of Homeland Security is in charge of implementing the goals of the Department, developed in concurrence with the President.



GOALS:

The stated goal and mission of the Department of Homeland Security is to ensure the security of the eUS political process. These goals include but are not limited to leading ATO efforts for all domestic elections, and also coordinating foreign ATO efforts when allies request the help of the eUS.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the Secretary of Homeland Security include:

1. Organizing any and all ATO efforts for any elections
2. Maintaining contacts in allied countries
3. Maintaining a strong working relationship with the Parties in the eUS
4. Writing articles and sending out PM's to get people to move Parties/vote for certain people/Parties
5. Contacting people, foreign and domestic, for assistance
6. Working with IES in order to obtain any necessary citizenship approvals for ATO voters from other countries.
