Look whose back!

After my last article, a masterful piece of prose that should take it's rightful place in the anthologies of A-level English students I must admit I fell off the map.

The truth is I was kidnapped by right-wing leftist agitators who sought to prevent The Real Spamicans rising to power. This kidnapping coincided with a period of great academic pressure on yours truly which, if I am honest, is still vast. However I have come to appreciate the juvenile escapism eRepublik has to offer and so I have been trying to do a bit more than two-click over the past couple of weeks.




The real reason for my disappearance.

The eUK seems to be facing some turbulent times, the admins in their infinite wisdom have institutionalised cabalism through the form of MTO and as a small nation we are yet again facing up to the debate on whether elite minority leadership or open democracies are best to lead us to glorious victories. I can see the merits in both arguments but it seems to me the eUK at present has a bigger topic it needs to address: direction!

As self appointed director of the directorate for direction I am inviting YOU the people to suggest a goal or plan to set ourselves - where do you want to see the eUK in three months? Snatching oversees possessions, holding onto them, getting an active population, tax havens for the super rich - anything you think can offer us a collective goal. Based on your suggestions I will run a series of polls and petitions to get us back on the footpath to fun.

I've been involved with some conversations with some people, and we thought it's time for the proverbial people to have their say and for us collectively to think about some common goal - something to motivate us and distract us from how banal eRep can sometimes feel and to give the eUK some fun direction.

To add some incentive, alongside this probing inquisition I am reopening the eUK's National Gallery - with a ten gold prize!

Using MS Paint, create your artistic impression of the eUK's dystopic/utopic future. The best entries will be rewarded with guns and showcased in my paper to a readership of potential millions. Whomever submits the best painting, as decided by comment debates, will receive Ten Gold. Think of how much you can full you can get your gold bath with that.

So for a brief moment lets forget the bickering and focus on the future. Ask yourselves what is missing from the eUK, and what short term/long term goals can we set to give us a common sense of direction?
