[CPF] Congressional Statement

Day 2,380, 12:20 Published in Canada Poland by TheSmoke

This one is for all the Tom Joads,

Well we did er folks, we got a group of baboons together and got us a Congress! Great job to all of you Canadians and our allies for fighting so damn hard, and we here at the Canadian Progressive Front hope to prove again why we earned our spot!

Being without a Congress for what could be considered ages, has certainly coated us previous Congress members with a fine layer, of silky smooth metallic rust, however, nothing a little spit can’t fix. What? We at the CPF condone most forms of spitting, but we support hard work, and that’s what we are going to try and do for Canada. We have recently completed an internal party survey which overwhelmingly expressed concerns about activity. With this, and our discussions between Congress Members, we hope to tackle several areas of interest.

First and foremost will be Taxes. This war has put a strain on Canadians pocket books, with many large donations coming from private citizens. We understand that the average citizen has been stretched, but considering Canada has super low taxes, you can’t ask for much more. We will analyze what would be an ideal number for taxes, enough to help prop back up or war funds, while keeping prices reasonable for Canadians. We also hope to offer weekly market reports that will be beneficial to buyers and sellers. However, until the enemy is off our soil, the CPF will vote to keep taxes at a minimum.

Second we would like to work towards, is a program of player retention. This does not have so much to do with Congress members, but something the party feels as a whole, is important. We should always stride to help retain new players in our community, to help ensure a strong presence in our D1 – D3 ranks, and increase the depth of our members and culture. With this war ever looming over us, it is just another potential unknown, or overwhelming aspect of the game to turn people away. The more friendly faces, and helpful tips we can provide, the more likely we are to keep them around! That is why the CPF is setting up work to help retain new players.

Lastly we as a party will work to keep Canadians informed. The more open and public we can be with our Government, domestic and international affairs, game changes, economy and so forth, the better off Canadians will be. Articles will be released with information pertaining specifically to these different events. This allows citizens to stay in the loop, become more efficient, improve our community, and help make better choices as a whole. So stay tuned for more articles!

As a final note before releasing this article, the USA has announced that a peace agreement between Canada and America has been reached. No official treaty has been released yet, but it seems Canada has proven ourselves to be the much smaller, but one hell of a fighter to the USA. Good job to all involved, and to the Great White North!

Cheers,

TheSmoke and Team
