Join the new world

Hello eCanada, today I am here to announce my run for the Party Presidency of the Canadian Progressive Front. I have new ideas for the Party and a new plan for moving forward and I humbly ask you for your votes on the 15th.



Qualifications

I’ve served as Party President of the CPF already from August to November of 2012 and once from January to February this year, so I know how to run the Party and handle the affairs presented to me. I have also been to Congress several times so I have insight on how the eCanadian government functions and am well versed in eCanadian politics.



My Vision

I have a number of ideas about how best to move the CPF forward this month, but I think it will be good for me to start off by stating each of the CPF tenets and how I will represent and encourage these tenets in my term if I am elected.

1) Uphold the equality of all active Military Units

As Party President I hope to be apart of the CPF congressional team which I am optimistic that we will be able to field free from total Spanish occupation. We will continue to ensure all MUs are treated equally by the government.

2) Make the accounting of government funding more open and important

The CPF is for transparent government, and I as Party President will make sure that members of the Party are well aware of what is happening within the Party, and are informed about any meetings, rules and regulations regarding elections, etc.

3)Ensure Canada is a reliable and selfless ally

eCanada must find a solution to its occupation problem and also support our allies in Asgard. As PP I hope to have a CP candidate who will run and deal with these issues while representing the Party in the presidency.

4)To respect, recognize and uphold the supremacy of the mechanics of the game

The CPF has forums and an IRC channel, but it is important to recognize the game mechanics and use them as much as possible. All congressmen are expected to use the eCanada forums, and all members are encouraged to be a part of IRC meetings, but other than that I will continue the Moose Calls and hopefully encourage more debate and discussion so communication can be kept as much in-game as possible.

5)Develop a positive political sphere

As PP I will represent the CPF with decency and respect. The CPF will be a safe place for players to get involved in politics and to receive thoughts and share ideas with one another. All members, no matter their activity level or time spent playing eRepublik will be equal and have their opinion matter equally. I will also pursue friendly relations with the other Parties, and hopefully send out ambassadors to Parties to foster communication.

6)Bring in Canadians to eRepublik

I will do the most I can as PP to retain the new citizens in eCanada and the CPF, and educate them about the game and ensure they can become self sufficient after any necessary help they might need.

7)To encourage growth and stability to the eCanadian economy

This goal is not really possible as a PP, and with eRepublik’s economy not being good anyways, but I will make sure the CPF has good Congressional candidates to represent the Party in Congress to assist in this endeavor.




And now, here are several other ideas I have that I plan on doing as PP

Moose Calls

I touched on this issue a little bit already, but I think the results of the census show that members want to become more involved. I will try and make the Moose Calls a better and easier place to start communicating and sharing ideas with fellow members of the Party.

Elections

I will continue the use of Primaries for determining the CP nominee, and the Questionaire to determine Congress members, though both will be conducted at earlier dates to rough out and ensure the best people are going to represent the Party in the political arena.

Census and Reform Measures

I am a big fan of the reforms being set in motion by our current Party President Dozzer and I will follow through with them. If I am elected I will also start another census up with questions regarding the future of the party that will help me do my job moving forward.

I will also appoint a member to be in charge of the media and publish updates and news about the Party on a regular basis, in addition to my own weekly (or bi-weekly) articles updating members on the past week of being PP.

All of this will be in an effort to reduce any notion of party elite and encourage newer party members that they can become politically active and that their ideas are meaningful and worthwhile.
