[CP] Update on the Situation

Day 1,919, 04:09 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

Many of you are wondering why you haven’t heard from me. I have been waiting for information to come back to me before I made anything official, however it is taking a little bit longer for things to occur so thought I would give people a basic run down and update of the situation as best I can now.

CoT Court of Justice

As many of you will be aware, eJapan has taken the Chile – Australia NAP Treaty to the Court of Justice of CoT HQ. We are awaiting a judgement on this issue. I would also like to point out that the current administration is available to the Court members should they need any further information, I would hope that the former administration would make themselves available as well should the Court Members require any additional information regarding the issue.

We are unsure what the result will be from the CoT Court of Justice, or when a decision will be reached, however, as eJapan a CoT member and old friend of eAustralia officially came forwarded and requested it be reviewed by the CoT Court of Justice we feel it is necessary that we allow time for due process in this regard to be done in honour of that friendship and their decision to request the review.

Also be aware that the first session of the CoT Court of Justice has convened and the general consensus is that more information is needed, and thus the eAustralian government is more than happy to provide whatever the Court of Justice needs to make an informed decision. Personally it bodes well with me that our case is being taken seriously and seemingly without bias towards a member nation at least in the opening stages.

Old Friends and DoD Orders

I should say that not all the CoT member nations are against us, many are old friends and many of the smaller nations, like us, are used to being wiped by larger nations with imperialistic urges, and are not happy with the current situation assailing us, but are required to enact the requirements within the CoT Charter to remain members, which we respect. We wish those nations the best and I will be directing my Department of Defence Minister’s to set DoD Daily Orders to helping some of these friendly nations in their battles if no RW or regional defence is required in Australian Regions.

As you are also more than likely aware, we are now at war with Chile, Indo and NZ. Where possible RWs are being started by Citizens in our territories held by both Chile and Indonesia, while we do not have a lot of hope of winning them or if we do keeping them, it helps sap resources from other areas if started at the right time and the people should fight in them however they can.

Regarding Allies:

While we are mainly waiting for the process of the CoT Court of Justice to be completed, there is not a lot we can do in regard to other allies, however that has not stopped us looking at potential allies and approaching them about the idea of an MPP while we wait. In the end, the final decision will rest with these nations, irrespective of what alliance they may or may not be in and it is impossible for the Government to force them into signing MPPs if they choose not to. We will continue to work on what we can, at least until the CoT Court of Justice has made a ruling and hopefully we are advised of that ruling and soon. Nations such as South Africa will always MPPable since they are one of our greatest allies, but work is also being done with other neutral nations while we wait for the Court to make a judgement.

Unfortunately that is all the current information I am able to give the People at this time, as soon as I get more up-to-date information that is solid and based on fact, you can be sure that I or my Foreign Affairs team will let you know.

Regards
Tim Holtz
