[CP] Signing off

Day 1,750, 07:21 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Presidency

Dear eBelgians,

This is an overview of the work done in the past month. Please read and vote the article. Thanks in advance.

Howdy eBelgium,

It’s been an exciting month! A lot has happened, but it is time to make a summary and assessment of what has been done in the past month. 🙂

First of all, a complete revision of the state expenses was worked out by the Ministry of Finance, and later proposed to and approved by Congress. As a result, there is a cut in our expenses of up to 600.000 BEF in monthly spending. What is more, the Paras had been disbanded and the Boost your Strength ² program was put on hold by MoF decision. The Citizen Pack and BTA supplies are now sponsored by BNA communes. Any funds remained in the hands of managers of state sponsored programs were tracked down, while the Pulse subsidy was stopped by Congress. The current holdings in the state accounts at the moment are over 1k gold and approximately 2,7m CC (compared to less than 500 gold and approximately 3,4m CC in the begining of my term).

In the field of international relations , it was a very interesting, decisive and historical month in eBelgium’s history. It was a month, full of long-lasting talks/negotiations and sleepless nights, but I am extremely pleased by the outcome. However, as of yesterday, we are officially recognized as a trial-member of the Circle of Trust alliance. We are one crucial step closer to being a full member of the alliance and I hope we are capable of doing that step. 🙂

Since the new budget was implemented, the national army has a new supply system - and yes, we are supplying Q7 weapons now! In addition, we have managed to expand the number of soldiers, serving among the army ranks. The ingame MU now possesses three regiments and the reorganization by division was finalized thanks to the MoD and the Commander of the BNA. The Daily Ordered Fights were brought back and the army is now eager more than ever to earn its respectable place on the battlefield.

Talking about Home Affairs and Immigration, it was a decent month and most of the work ran smoothly. A new immigration system was voted by Congress and since then it is up and running. The MoHA did very good job in player retention as well as at setting up the 4th BoDI awards and the regular monthly lottery.

On the other hand, my only disappointment is the lack of work on the Education side. Unfortunatelly, there was barely anything done on that side, but I hope the next government will do better.

Briefly said, that was it. I can not assess my term, but it is my firm belief that the government of August did decent. I hope the next CP does better in the what will turn out to be a crucial month for eBelgium’s future.

Yours very truly,
