[CP] Ratification vote!!

Good morning eIreland,
After having a referendum last week, we decided with over 66% of votes to join CUA countries in a new Brotherhood. We’d like to ratify that referendum to ensure that the majority of Irish citizens are fine with us joining the new Brotherhood.

This is a ratification vote. We’ve already started organising ourselves with CUA countries according to the “Act of Brotherhood” document above, but for the last time, we’d like to confirm this decision together with the Irish population after having Act of Brotherhood published. Name and logo of the Brotherhood is still to be decided though. Our country will be involved in HQ, we’ll have representatives in Military Structure and voice in our new alliance. We’ll also have a vote after 45 days when we get coordinated with CUA. It was a wish from one of CUA country and since we understand how much effort they had to put in this to make it happen we understand that.
RULES:
-Ratification vote will have only one simple question - Do you want Ireland to join the created Brotherhood of CUA countries ( Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina) and Ireland.
-Voting will last for 48 hours after publishing this article
-Voting will happen through PM’s to the Ministry of Community org
-Counters will be James Keiller and Winston Hope Smith
-Only Irish citizens can vote ( and those who hold communes for Irish MU’s)
-You can vote only once
-Only adult citizens can vote

You did rig it, you have yourself and Columbia (both openly pro CUA) and WHS (who stupidly told ILP to vote for you) as the ones who decide the results...biased much?

Ok, but procedural issues aside, are there any good substantive reasons for or against joining? Is there another alliance that would be better for us? Would neutrality be better? What strategy would you pursue instead? Forgive my ignorance on this issue, I've been pretty close to inactive for the last few months.
Nah Stilpo, I haven't seen a single pro about joining these bar it gives us an advantage during night battles but tbh that will be hugely counteracted by the fact that if we join them CoT/TWO will hate us and adds a tonne of unneeded enemies to our list.
We were give a trial membership shot with CoT which is good but since the people only heard positives about CUA and negitives about CoT by the CP and MoFA's the people think its a bad idea.
Looks like Indonesia is thinking of pulling out of CoT. It is a retard alliance

A quick pm to anyone who speaks Croatian will tell you what it says or even google translate, our CP is a sick knacker.
I think CUA is a good opportunity for us. South America is a region that is growing in its global influence, and here we have a chance to become founding members of a new alliance. We will be able to continue fighting along side many of our traditional allies, and in time we may see this alliance grow into a replacement for EDEN (who knows). It's time for eIreland to take a leadership role in the alliance world and show what true loyalty and brotherhood looks like.
For clarification, the CP of Uruguay told me that it mightn't ever be an alliance "The idea of alliance is still in the air"
So moving us towards a MPP group with not a single EU country in it is shocking because we have no support on our timezone
The difference in time zones is about the same as my own from eIreland's. I don't find that I miss out on important battles as a result.
All great things have to start somewhere. I think eIreland is a good ingredient.
You miss my point totally Ian, if we are attacked by the UK for example at an early time in Ireland.
How is any country from South America suppose to help since they will all be in bed?

I think I got your point. My own time difference is three hours from Halifax to Dublin. Much of South America is in a closer time zone than that (2 hours). Mainland Europe is 1 hour ahead, and Greece I believe is two hours ahead.
Even then, we can still suppliment our daily defence with non-CUA mpps.

I told you it's not one right now, but the idea is there and we're going step by step through this Brotherhood. Then we'll see.

You said its up in the air, which I quoted on the original post. I am right in saying it may never be an alliance and as such joining it may...wait will give us a lot more enemies than we have right now.
This first referendum didn't make it clear enough that eIreland supported joining CUA. Those in charge have recognized that, along with the importance of having clear support for a decision of this magnitude.
This ratification vote is your opportunity to imprint your voice on both the future and the history of eIreland. Think for yourselves and don't let anyone take that opportunity away.
For all those who say the referendum was rigged and didn't reflect the true opinion of the eIrish public, this is your chance to vote no and express your opinion. I'd like to see whichever side doesn't win act as reasonably mature persons. I think joining CUA is our current best choice, but if it's rejected by the public, I'll accept that as will of the majority and work to keep eIreland strong within that vote.

I voted no, it is a terrible mistake for Ireland and our CP is only doing it for his own personal reasons.
