[CP] National MU | Strikes | Referendums

Day 3,052, 14:49 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by 10 Downing Street

Over the last few months, whenever a national MU would be mentioned, people would say: 'Too many egos' and the discussion would be over. That's how it was 5 months ago, that's how it was a month ago. But it's not how it is now. Because I can proudly announce we've started an exploratory phase to implement the idea of a national MU into reality. All MUs have been messaged and we are currently undergoing a survey among all MU commanders to see how they feel about the idea of a national MU. Many questions have been raised in the process, for example: 'Who would lead it? Who would fund it?' We don't currently have answers to those questions because this idea is still in its infancy and we just want to see if people would be willing to sign up for in the first place before jumping to conclusions on who would lead it etc. For me, this is a big and important issue and I encourage the creation of a national MU. Many countries have it, and I think msot of them are better off with it. The reason is because it makes the whole job of coordination, messaging, getting people involved, quick response to attacks more easy. It basically makes the job of fighting as a country more easy. Not to mention that group strikes are much more quickly and better organized if we have a national MU in place. Of course, there will be egos. Of course, there will be hardships. But we need to go through this hassle for the sake of the future of our country. It will benefit us in the long term just as it has benefited dozens of countries.

Strike teams are up and running! As mentioned in my previous article, I've commissioned Sambo223 to organize strike teams. And we will have the first national strike this Sunday, similar to the one Royal Navy does on Sundays. Please read his article and participate if you can! This is a great way to bring us together and make our damage more useful on the battlefield.

Two referendums will have been held in the next few days to resolve a kind of 'constitutional crisis' we have going on regarding Congress. The issue at hand is that, as we are wiped and haven't had elections for Parliament, we legally don't have a functioning Congress in place. The question isn't resolved in the Constitution so it is illegal for Congress to just vote itself into power again. That's why Woldy's been trying to solve this problem as bet as possible. One referendum has already been held and the people have decisively said they don't want Congress for another term in office. I think it's good that people have had their say on this and they will again in the second referendum. I think it also shows what people think about the work Congress has done over the past month. Also, the impeachment vote has failed - 4 to impeach and 7 not to impeach. The leadership of the country has been settled and settled in the most conclusive fashion possible. The whole business of it ends now. And this result ends this matters once and for all.

Please follow battle orders both in articles and PMs!

I'll be holding PMQs on Wednesday at 8 on #massdebate on IRC. Please participate and ask me questions!

Thank you,
