[CP] Government Report - Week IV

Day 1,749, 05:34 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Presidency

Dear eBelgians,

This is the last weekly government report for this month. Those reports keep you well informed about what the Government is really doing. Please read and vote the article. Thanks in advance.

The last week of my term has passed and it’s just 2 days left to the next elections. It was busy, but important week for the nation and it’s future. An important step on a long road ahead was done and it will undoubtely influence the future evolution of eBelgium. Also, we have got 15 Mutual Protection Pacts for free and we no longer find ourselves in trouble where to fight 😉 By the time I am writing this article, one by one, the driving forces behind the party, formerly known as LCC, are heading back to their native land and hopefully finally leaving eBelgium alone. I can’t determine the exact reason behind their decision, but it doesn’t matter for us, does it? 😉

However, I will summarize what has been done during the past month in my last article, while serving as Country President of eBelgium for August’12. Stay tuned! 🙂

You can read the reports, written by our lovely Ministers, below 🙂

Ministry of Defence - MaryamQ - BNA has continued to adjust to the new work and supply system, and to work with the new features of egov4you. BTA and civilian packs have been supplied by the BNA communes, and there were recently some Q7 tanks placed on the eBelgian market with the intention of increasing tax income as well as covering some of the cost of raw materials used in production. An article was published this week, as well, outlining the requirements and functions of the 3 state sponsored MUs.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Lily Jayne Summers - Decent week again. I'm hoping to do a final weekly update on the 4th or so., but depends if we can find the right articles. We also managed to accept the initation of joining CoT with a super majority, which is fantastic news to Belgium long term, as neutrality does not and will not work for us anymore. In general, it's been good activity, good news from congress regarding CoT. Happy month all round for the MoFA department.

Ministry of Home Affairs - Viridi, Garth Lidlington and Sicariidae - We've had a good week this week. Our messaging system is still online and this month we've managed to message well over sixty new citizens, an average of two a day. The lottery winners were announced and the winners have received their rewards. Unfortunately, mostly due to internet and newspaper issues (I would like to apologise for it), I won't be able to host some IRC games. Hopefully we can get those out next month.

Ministry of Immigration - Olv007 & Viridi - Durind the past week, former LCC members have decided to let some of their PTO friends in. Not less than 3 people were accepted without our approval. Fortunatelly, one of them got permanently banned for usage of multiple accounts, what seems common way of work of those people (as lots before were banned for the same reason), while another one headed back to his native land a day or two later. We would like to note that the members of the now-defunct political party LCC are now part of H.O.P.E. and we kindly ask the eBelgian citizens to think twice and make their vote count at the next congress elections.
On the other hand, we had 3 more citizenship requests to discuss: the first one was rejected due to suspicion of possible PTO involvement; the second was accepted, but still waiting for approval ingame (the citizen himself asked for a delay due to personal reasons), while the last one is still under consideration.

Ministry of Finance - Nohjis, Helviro, SX80 - Due to the continued decrease in the price paid by the bot on goods, our tax income has fallen a little lower then expected. The impact is rather small due to the limited importance of tax income generated by the bot. Total tax income for this month is now at 163.960 BEF.
A good number of congress members donated all or part of the gold received with their medal. The income represents a total of 45 Gold donated by 13 different people. The MoF thanks boer jan, tommot, Backwards, MyMilkedEek, Veruvia, Critically, NLSP, Ombrenoire, Misanthropist, myurek, Gary McNichols, AndreasC and Lily Jayne Summers for their generous donations.
All programs continue to operate thanks to the BNA communes for which an extra 100.000 BEF was sent from the treasury to continue operating until the end of the month. The belgian lottery was drawn and a total of 9.000 BEF was sent to the winners, while the total expense for the Boost Your Strength program is now at 58,33 Gold.

Yours very truly,
