Greetings,

Well, the NE Proposal proposed by IRR in the Dail has passed and Ireland now stands in a state of war with Poland. This is a complicated situation, and though only 5 days remain in my term this administration has prepared the best we can. This conflict will be hard, we may well wipe, but it won't be from lack of dedication and will, it will be from sheer numbers.

My first act of this conflict is to establish a War Council consisting of Kurdt_Fradenburg and sawc. Those who wish to assist with the War Council may contact them for information on where you can help. We are also making use of our communication with the MUs and will be organizing timed strikes on a national level.

On the topic of supplies, for Polish battles we will be collecting screenshots (for credit and bragging rights), but all restrictions on Energy Bars in the supply form will be lifted. Lets get some tanking done and show the Poles how the Irish can fight.

I don't think it is hysteria. I think it is common sense and some people don't really get how people don't get this.

Any rate. This war was the stupidest idea I have ever heard, but we will defend Ireland with everything we have obviously.

By the way, there will be coordinated damage? Will EDEN assist Ireland on the war against Poland with Campaigns of the day, daily orders, and openning resistance wars on Canada, Portugal, France, Netherlands and Germany?

21 other congressmen had to vote yes also for the war to happen, so it seems to be popular enough. However there was no clear leadership or direction from a weak Govt, they simply passed the buck to congress. I for example did not vote at all because of a lack of clarity, my vote could have stopped the war had I used it. They did not make clear whether they supported the NE or not. Presidents should lead, not pass the buck to congress because there is less accountability with congress.

I understand how the voting works, I also understand that our gov't has some pretty weak people in congress, people who will vote no in the first NE proposal, then vote yes when it comes up again because irish_rebel tells them to do so. Honestly, that fact seemed pretty clear once I noticed it failed the first time. If it failed then obviously the people didn't want war, but now we're getting wiped because of weak leaders. Anyway, I'm still going down fighting for Ireland.
