Dear citizens of eBelgium,
The past week has been a rocky one but I kept up hope there would be a solution.
I have put my personal believes in the closet for two weeks now. Trying to not let them interfere with the reality I had to deal with.
As CP, I can expect resistance and criticism. I don’t mind answering question and debating about other views, but the whole neutrality situation is becoming utterly ridiculous

I appreciate the help some people have been given me. Although I did not asked for it and do not fully agree with what the results are. Giving away a part of our eBelgian pride was never an option in my books. I am not going to beg on my knees for an MPP from either TERRA or EDEN. I appreciate the individual people who have tried to make things happen. But deals like, you can sign if you don’t sign country x and x even if those Xs do not have any direct consequences on each other, I do not agree upon. It’s not like eBelgium hasn’t handled neutrality before; we know how to stay away from conflicting MPPs.
When I look around and I see eBelgians almost begging for the world to accept them as neutral my skin begins to curl.
Are we really going to sink so low?
Where is our pride?
This article is not going to get a warm reception. I am not aiming for that. I am not in this seat to win a popularity contest. I am however in this seat because I want the best for eBelgium. I have tried to listen to the voice of the people, but at this point in time, either the people start listening to my voice or they can decide I am not good for this country. I want you all to make up your own minds. If you decide that you want to be on your knees for a neutrality that does not get accepted by the majority of the world, I will not sit by and undergo this. I can’t, not in a million years, set my Belgian pride away for that.
Bottom line
Either you impeach me or you give me a vote of confidence.
If you impeach me it is up to BrunoCND to decide if he wants to follow the current path or not.
If you give me the vote of confidence I am going to throw away neutrality because in my opinion it does not work.

I've aways trusted you so far, but I don't understand you anymore Mitte.
You're talking about Belgium "begging" for MPPs ? Why about my proposal : not begging for anything, not even a need to have the same amount of MPPs. Just being logic with ourselves, without caring of what people think outside : we propose 4 MPPs every month to each side, no matter which will be accepted or not. We stay neutral in our intentions. We don't begg for anything. Up to the alliances to deal with their own directives.

I understand you. It will take indeed much more bravery stand againist public opinion than againist enemy. On the other hand its not bravery of Belgium resign on its neutral politics, its more what some your opponents want for unknown reasons. If feeling of population is generaly different you will make it harder to next presidents for who will be some currently openend options closed.

eBelgium is a country of compromises.
We make them on the forum, so why can't we make them ingame?
If TEDEN countries don't want us to sign MPP's with certain other countries, why can't we do that?
It has nothing to do with pride, it's a compromise: They do a favor for us and we do one for them.
Once again, I find her using loaded language and not being neutral. If you are neutral, you do not need to beg. Ask yourself a question. Why is TEDEN doing the things they are? Are they irrational actors? While you might think so and MItte would like to make a case for it with loaded language, but TEDEN members really feels that eBelgium has lost its way. You might not like what I have to say but we really feel that eBE is really Pro-ONE.
The fact to have an ONE master at the head of eBE have bring some difficulties to get some trust from TERRA, especially after the fake TW with Hungary which allowed them to get South NL with the "help" of eBelgium... I was the one who proposed to Brazil to give 2 names of countries we won't sign mpp with... I felt the need to create some solutions to solve the problems of MPP and neutrality in eBE. eBrazil never blackmailed us about this.
Also, TERRA have officially removed us from their blacklist, and we are free to sign mpp with any TERRA countries if we have a deal with them. We have also reached a mpp deal with China.
Looking at her speeches, she never once did any self reflection but blame TEDEN. She is very open with her Pro-ONE stance and with this recent Hun problem, which naturally will cause TEDEN outrage. Instead of apologizing to TEDEN and NL for either her mistake or her intentional plan, she goes and blame TEDEN again for no MPP's. Does she thinks ushering a ultimatum will win TEDEN support? I also do not think her ultimatum is "begging."
The most troubling is Mitte's attitude, not to the Dutch but to the Belgian public. In essence, this article states that she does not believe the general eBE citizens are competent and they are just silly sheep. They do not understand anything and they are just clearly wrong. Instead of doing the will of the people she will not follow the ideals of her people and use language as well as her powerful name in attempt to manipulate and muddle through the referendum to get what she wants.
If eBrazil made this proposition based on TRs advice, we can hardly call that blackmailing!
If, as TR said, we are no more blacklisted by TERRA and they are about to finally accept our MPPs, then we can all calm down a bit!
Mitte, take back your ultimatum, please! We voted for Neutrality AND for you as CP (after you promised to follow the will of the eBelgian people)!
Don't step down as CP when the way is finally opening for eBe to have balanced MPPs once again!
And a special thanks to the MoFA and the private citizens like TR who have worked hard to get us off that blacklist!

You was on the list for the CP, in a neutral country, you must respect it. We made a referendum.
Deception because it's a "chantage" your article. I can understand you are bored, but the population is not the victime.
If several countries rejected our mpp, we ask another or we stay without.
I will not agree to follow a government who is for an alliance, sorry. eBelgium will lost citizens.

I don't think you can blame Mitte for Hungary attacking the Netherlands, you couldn't have held them back anyway - as with when France wiped you not that long ago. If you'd had any resources they'd needed (France or Hungary) I doubt you would have been able to RW yourself back so easily. GL, but I doubt you will ever do anything interesting whilst neutral.
Well that was an interesting term.
I completely agree with Elynea. You agreed to take responsability when you decided to run for CP, but what you're doing here is indeed nothing more than blackmailing your citizens. It might seem a brave thing to stand up against criticism like that, but it seems that you're using your ideals as a cover to get out when things get tricky and still not lose your face. You may speak about pride, but there's no pride in leaving through the backdoor.
Sorry for being harsh, but I'm pretty disappointed
