[CP] About the battle

Welcome,
We sent an AS yesterday to Switzerland in a coordinated attack with LETO and Asteria members, the AS didn't land, but we don't have a reason to be sad.
1. We did our job
The first goal was to drain damage and help our allies, the landing was just a positive "side effect" to continue the work. We got so many help from them in the past, so this AS was just a small help for them and to show a great determination, that Australia is here and they can count on us!
2. Montenegro showed us true friendship
I want to thank all of Montenegro for fighting for us, even without the CO. We really appreciate it!
3. We underestimated the shield a bit
Without Switzerland's shield it could have been other results, I don't want to underestimate them, maybe they could win with that situation too, also they got huge CO and we didn't want to burn in everything, we need the money for the future.
4. We were waiting too long
We were waiting for the shield to go down, when it happened already, we were at 55-0, so we decided not to fight anymore and save the money.
5. New South Wales
Don't forget that we could liberate New South Wales from Chile, a region which is more valuable to us than Switzerland's regions.
6. Tried to raise activeness and bring some fun
I don't know yet if it really helped, but we had a great battle, it was even epic once!
Also congrats to Switzerland and thank you all who fought for us in this battle!

I call a massive BULLSH!T to your reasons. A waste of CP term and a waste of AS.
1) Help our allies? How did that help our Allies?? I am all for supporting them, but we lost the war, a pointless war, so that doesn't do squat for our Allies. If it was a LETO battle for a legitimate reason, yes I would put another 100mil in damage down, but this was just a waste.
2) Yes they helped, this is at least right.
3) You underestimated their shield?? what no one in congress knows the game well enough? no one in LETO knows the game and the shield, what no back up plan incase their shield was high??
4) 55-0 and then you decide to stop.... what took you so long? did you bother to tell any of the eAustralian MU's, so they could change the DO's? did you bother at least to release an article saying that?
5) NSW?? that is just another Chile re-set.... like they have been doing since day 1... I am a noob to this game and even I know this.
6) Raise activness? the money could of been spent better in a raffle asking for people to write an article or something, not on a wasted AS.
All in all, yet another failed AS, another failed CP term and an another nail in eAust coffin. I fill shamed in trying to getting things kicked started back in this country.
On a side note... hey CP you better tell your MoD to quickly edit his article, as it still showing a request to ignore the RW in NSW and focus on the AS in Switzerland...
They are not active battles anymore, the article will soon disappear.
It is more pointing out that your claim #4 and #5 is a lie.
And thank you Rusty for fighting hard, at that time we were about to change it, you did really well, and you feel we let you down, so I want to say sorry.
Never mind the fact that you can SEE what their shield is before starting the attack... never mind that the wiki has the formula so they could tell EXACTLY how much shield they would have per division per battle...
Have to agree with Rusty here, firstly with regards to defeating Chile - http://www.erepublik.com/en/main/law/Chile/152318 it was a reset so not disputed so not really a victory.
Blackwood, you are a really nice guy who i really would have a lot of time for but i think you've been advised wrongly by those (or an individual) in the shadows and left out to dry mate. Perhaps you have been used by somebody looking to further their career in LETO or Asteria HQ by showing them he can get his country to launch an AS to 'help' distract foes i don't know. But one thing this was was predictable. The huge costs of this could have gone to a game wide call to arms to help Montenegro (an ally who have helped us in Jizan before) or even Campaign orders in a RW for them...either way AS are costly enough but for one that was a clear and predictable folly is just astounding.
I know a few will come back saying i am being negative and should think of allies etc etc, i was calling for that in the days when i was CP and the KH MU was slamming me for ignoring an Aus battle we were getting humiliated in so we could fight for an ally in a different winnable battle...but...BUT...there is a time and place where you end up just standing there with your d1ck in your hand p1ssing in the wind against yourself...and this was one such occasion.
Like i said i think you were advised wrongly and whoever it was should learn game mechanics especially the bit about shields and how having no huge collection of MPP's can bite you on the ass when fighters have to move to fight for you...and while you have Argentina giving you a shield your MPP's are limited.
I might of been a bit harsh on picking on Blackwood, I agree with you Hugh he is a good man, but after so many slaps in the face, so many beers it just comes to the boiling pint to see this sort of article.
Whether it was down to a misguided choice or an ill informed one, it was wrong. The CP wasn't alone in this, as an AS has to be voted (i might be wrong) so the whole congress failed.
Honesty would of been better then a weak attempt at a face saving article.

As you are MoFA and on the LETO HQ then i find it hard to believe you approved this. There is helping allies then there is throwing away money on a plan doomed from the get go. Did Blackwood bring this to you or did you bring this plan to Blackwood?

My head doesn't hurt, so I think we didn't do that.:/
