I'm going to keep it simple, so one picture will have to be enough.
Explantaion:
Norway wanted Ásgárd to 'walk the path' of an alliance with Aurora because their closest allies were there(Germark(Denmark), Chile, Ireland, Indonesia, and Bulgaria). Then hearing Netherlands and Russia were interested in Aurora as well, there was no longer a chance that Norway wouldn't push the topic forwards. Unfortunately, Macedonian Republic(FYROM) decided that they were going to airstrike in to Norway and parasite on their regions for a while. This hurt the Norwegian pride to the spot where Norwegian officials would forget everything and ally with Asteria to reobtain their sovereignty.
Oh, and notice that this is just my own view, as a former Norwegian politican.

Russia had nothing to do with the AS. : /
But Fyrom made a deal with UK even before contacting the Norwegian government.
Interesting. I seem to remember somone blaming Russia though. Maybe I'm just getting old...
Russia was Neutral since it was a quarrel between two friends of them.
I believe you, it's just that I think the rumor existed. Might as well just remove it from the article since I seem to be the only one who remembers it, haha! 😃
yes there was a rumor for awhile, but the eRussian government confirmed that this was nothing more than rumors (as far as I remember)
I can't remember someone blaming Russia (Russia have been great allie before). But our other old allie Chile was suppling Fyrom during AS.

Well, it covers it pretty nicely, but to be honest, I still favor what you refer to as "the Polish side". I really can't see myself fighting for or defending any of the Asteria countries in near future.
Sometimes one needs to make difficult decisions 🙂
