[Carey Tribune] End of a Run - Start of Another

Day 2,554, 07:14 Published in USA USA by MrCarey

In the midst of all the sad articles of people leaving eRep, I have a nice little upbeat piece for you all. As I’m sure you’re all aware, Party President elections were held this past weekend. I decided to “dial back” my activity in eRep as I am approaching a busy time IRL and don’t want my hardwork and efforts in the game be affected. Because of this, I decided to not run for a 3rd consecutive term as PP for We The People and focus on my Secretary of Education position. Oblige’s calendar of tasks is a great help in keeping me focused on that job as well with deadlines to publish articles, which I’ll admit I was lacking at when I first took the job.

Getting back to the focus of this article, I want to take some time and talk about WTP’s new Party President. Blande is a cool dude for sure. During my terms as Party President, Blande has been the Spokesman, Chief of Staff, and most importantly, the Recruitment Director. We both came back to the game at pretty much the same time, so we’ve risen through the political ranks together and have become pretty good eRep buds.

In addition to his service to We the People, Blande has had multiple terms as congressman. He has also played a big role in the USAF as well. He has been a part of the NSC and Deputy Secretary of Defense. There is no doubt that he is a prominent and important eUS citizen.

I am excited to be working together with Blande again as he takes the helm of the WTP party. He’s going to make a great leader for the party and with his experience in recruiting, he’s going to be a fantastic Party President with the tools to grow our party. Keep an eye out for his article he will be releasing later today with details on his plans as PP and the cabinet he will be working with.

In closing, I will say that WTP has not seen the last of me yet as a Party President, as I do have plans to run again in the future. I have great faith and confidence that the WTPers would vote me into the big chair again should I run. I feel I had a great run as a two term party president and helped launch the party in the right direction when to me, it seemed like it was starting to fade a bit. A lot of this had to do with the great team I had that was working with me. I made some changes to the political structure of the party and did some things a bit differently as well during my term. We’ll have to see what Blande has in store for the coming month. I can tell you one thing though, I’m definitely excited to see what he has planned!
