CANADA IS FREE!
Less than a month ago our beautiful country was taken over by a crazed, tyrannical dictator and his mindless minions. While he stomped and yelled, making a fool out of himself and pissing off half the eWorld, we gathered our strength to strike back. Now that we have taken out this sad little man, it’s time for us to rebuild our country and ensure that a hostile takeover can never happen again.
The Current Government

What a stunning group, isn’t it? As of now the government of Canada is small but strong, working quickly to undue all of the damage caused by Rylde, the Whorehouse, and Cordis Die (Buttis Die).
Considering we are already halfway through the term, we don’t expect to be adding many more people to the current government. We will serve as the elected caretakers of Canada until the next election.
The War With Ireland
Already we have been in contact with Ireland attempting to work out the problems caused by Rylde. Despite his incessant need to war and piss off every single ally and country in the world, we have managed to work out an agreement with Ireland.
Ireland will return all regions to Canada and we will reopen friendly relations with them. Because of the ingame mechanics, this means we will have an NE with Ireland for the next 6 or so days before we can declare peace. Ireland will not resist as we retake our country to its original boarders. Once we have reclaimed our country, we will end the war and declare peace. In the event we regain our country before game mechanics allow us to declare peace, we will work with Ireland to fizzle out the war. Under no circumstances will we take Irish regions!
The Revolution
For some the revolution could not come quickly enough, but due to the support of friends and allies, we took back Canada!
A special shoutout to Colin Lantrip 3 who bankrolled our revolution, Utat and Moulin Jean of MFC, MEK, and other allies.
Colin was instrumental to supporting the RW by paying the 200k for revolution and fighting for us. We could not have gotten off the ground without him.
Utat and Moulin Jean of MFC donated 100k cc in COs and were both in the top 5 for the campaign. Their support was essential to winning the revolution.
We also want to thank MEK and other allies who came to our aid when we needed it. They recognized that Rylde was a menace to us all, and we are grateful for their support.
Canada’s Next Steps
The next steps of the current administration and for Canada as a whole are to ensure we never face a hostile takeover ever again. To do this we plan on petitioning congress and the citizens of Canada to enact new laws and regulations regarding dictatorship. We propose the following:
1. 66% of congress vote in favor of a dictatorship.
OR
2. The citizens of Canada vote in a CP who clearly states in their campaign that they are running for dictator.
We believe that if either of these requirements are met, then it is the will of Canada and its people to enact a dictator. Otherwise, all attempts to instill a dictator will be considered illegal and against the will of the people of Canada.
For now let’s celebrate regaining our freedom and independence! Any questions or concerns can be directed to the comments section for all Canadians to read and voice their opinions.

When your the one being wiped you push the reset button when it is offered. Everyone wants war no one wants a wipe.
There wasn't going to be a wipe, even with 25% of Canada actually supporting the wipe and fighting for Ireland.
Support? It was all all about money.
Yes, but when I see Canadians actually fighting on the Irish side to wipe us, c'mon man. Boo hoo, I am taking my ball and going home. In RL that is called being a traitor. As far as money goes, Colin isn't the only guy who plays this game and can afford to toss a lot of RL money at it. They were getting one more territory, two tops.
I have bh for us every day so don't whine to me.

The laws cannot prevent a coup. What they can do is determine whether the coup has legitimacy or not. The entire past couple of weeks was us yelling back and forth as to whether it was legitimate. You guys said it was. We said it wasn't, Most other countries have a sort of constitutional dictatorship which is why they're relatively stable. Rylde's first reign had a quasi-constitutional one - which he then himself abrogated. His second one didn't even make a pretense towards it - it was a literal naked PTO.
Dictatorship itself is a game reality. The question is how we all are going to respond to it. Right now it looks like we're going to handle it by yelling at each other until Nunavut is a tropical jungle.

ahhh if its a hostile coup from out or within no law you make matters, its all bout the money, it took lots of money from rylde to take over and it tooks lots of money from a US player to oust Rylde. eRep cc pisses all over and metalaw you can come up with
Game mechanics mean that determination against a dictator builds very fast. With or without Colin Lantrip's funding, Rylde's dictatorship could never last terribly long - he has enough domestic enemies to ensure that. So yes, the hostile coup was ousted with money from Colin Lantrip - but the writing was on the wall even before then. Nevermind the fact that Rylde is constitutionally not able to avoid pissing off other people, and will end up in that situation over and over again if allowed.
But I can no more tell you to stand down than you can tell me to do so. We can see some sort of agreement between Canada's obstinate wings, or we can see perpetual civil war. I expect the latter, tbh.
Voted for abrogated. I'm mulling over whether obstinate deserves a vote.

Are we forgetting the tantrum you and DMV3 had ? You guys also went way over the line to destroy forum activity and any kind of responsibility congress had left.
Sure punishing those of us that remained in RW or CD was kind of understandable but punishing the entirety of Congress was childish and completely petty.
All that has really happened is we've changed out one professional dictator that knew what the hell he was doing for a bunch of mini-dictators that couldn't even tell you the colour of their own bs. Game activity will drop and forum flaming will increase like a raging hemorrhoid. I personal prefer the opposite.
Rylde made it clear that he was perfectly willing to follow the advice and decisions of Congress in almost all areas of the game. The only thing he wanted control over was things that the Executive was supposed to do anyway and haven't recently (foreign affairs, war, etc...).
This is all smoke and mirrors and the "good guys" (who couldn't get any Canadians on their side so they had to trade military might for sexual favors with foreigners) in this are really the ones who have been harmful to all things Canadian.
Has any of this fighting really been clean?

It does say a lot that the revolution had to rely overwhelmingly on the support of foreigners and now we make peace with Ireland because our democratic government is afraid of one American 🙂

You know what I mean, you got Slovenia to open up another front to split damage. You couldn't attack us directly on one front. MPP's are fair game.
Your opening paragraph is absurd. Obviously only half of us are mindless. I did get a real chuckle over the gathering your strength part to take it back though. You meant to say having an American not only pay for it, but get us to agree to stand down and let it happen. I do 100% agree it is up to an active and competent government to make sure to keep your war fighting citizens happy or we will go back to a dictatorship.

You need to learn some people skills. Not sure what you think your role or influence is in this country, but under no circumstances will anyone control what buttons I want to push but me. You could appeal to my needs or find a way to motivate me to work with you instead of insulting my MU and my leader.

Who are any of you to enact permanent laws that affect my game play? You are 30-day elected officials whose laws mean something for 30 days. BUT, they don't mean more than game mechanics. Again, work on those people skills.

actually we had a choice underneath our dictator we have a pseudo congress that decides on all maters. Last night I ok'ed everything with moomoo and send exalted a schedule for the return of the regions. no demands was made by anyone .

It seems pretty clear that they're working on a diplomatic end to the fight, which ought to be enough to see us either win BC outright or get it back without any resistance.
It's a different approach than Rylde but he doesn't exactly have a great record when it comes to the Irish invasion. Let's see what happens.
