British Theft , Constitutional Mischief and War
Today a large amount of gold and companies was stolen from the British by one of their own lords. He has issued a list of demands and wants the UK to attack the US in the next few days. If not he has promised to give the US all of the assets. My heart goes out for our great friends, just two months ago we faced a similar situation when our treasury was stolen by an unknown hacker. My administration through our Ministry of Finance has already offered Mr. Woldy and the British a no-interest loan to cover any immediate operating expenses. We will do anything we can to assist our allies.

Also important the giant imperialist nation of Hungary has declared war on the small country of Austria. Ireland stands against this attack and I have authorized the Ministry of Defense to mobilize the IDF and send them to action. For the conflict the IDF will provide tickets and weapons. Ireland strongly believes in protecting the rights of smaller nations and we will help anyone in need even if its against one of the world's superpowers.
And onto constitutional mischief. I have received a complaint against the " Gay Unity Party ". The complaint cites that the party has broken the Irish constitution. Article 6.3 of the eIrish constitution states: "No political party may be set up on the basis of a Religion, Ethnic Origin, Language, Gender, Sexual Orientation." Im going to put this to the Irish Supreme Court and let them decide whether the party name is constitutional or not. Granted I might have to appoint a few justices first.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the GUP is a joke. Still, it's clearly in violation of the Constitution since it's named and based on sexual orientation - joke or not. *Shrug*
As for eUK, I have to say that it's very honorable of our MoF to offer a no-interest loan to the eUK. They're put in the same situation we were, and we're helping them the same way they helped us. That's sincere friendship, ladies and gentlemen - alliances be damned.
As for the Austria-Hungary war, I give a salute to those of our men and women in the IDF who volunteer to fight abroad and battle imperialist Hungary in the defense of a small, relatively defenseless nation.
Hacking just sucks. Wastes the game's enjoyment for others. Aah well we've been through this in eIndia not too long ago. -.-

Assessing the constitutionality of the GUP sounds like it'd be a good way to check the viability and effectiveness of our embryonic judicial system.

Personally I dont really care about the Gay Unity Party and I realize its a joke. But I dont want to offend anyone and our constitution clearly states that the name is unacceptable. I wouldnt have made a thing about it unless I got a complaint

That's an awesome idea, but I don't see it happening. It's been hard enough to quell cries of "I STAND READY TO KILL REDCOATS," the anti-UK fervor is so great.
Oh well, if eUSA gets the goods, I'll talk to the President about it.

Why not remove the Sexual Orientation part? We've had, like, two or three parties, at least one of which is still around, based on Homosexuals here in eUSA. Not a huge deal, IMO.
I think our loan to Britain is very much a good thing. They did the same for us so we should repay the favour.

It would only be an unconstitutional party if it EXCLUDED citizens based on there sexual orintation. As far as I am aware they have no such requirment. If they did then they would be in breach of several sections of articel 6.

I made the complaint against the GUP, I am not offended and realise that the party was named so as a joke. But I feel that if everyone else is expected to obey the constitution - which it is in clear violation of - then so should the GUP. I'm pretty sure that if it isn't dealt with then someone intentionally breaking this law could cite this as bias. The name could always be changed and I think doing so would be in the best interests of everyone in the long run.
