[bremer] Interview with presidential candidate

Day 380, 12:53 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by rastari

What qualities will you bring to the eUK as president?

I think I’ve lots of good qualities. For example, I have economics knowledge, probably more that the other candidates and this is very important if you are Prime Minister. Secondly, I have the will to change things. This is probably the most important, I want to see eUK better and I think eUK need changes, if you think that too, you are with me.

Why do you want to become president?

I want to become president because the gap between rich and poor people in this country is probably the biggest in the eworld. Our unemployment makes everyone accept any job, with any wage. Than, people who are older have their good wages and new people have to accept any wage, because they need a job!
By creating governmental companies I will offer fair wages to new citizens and will create a larger market for our companies. This way, we will need more companies, what will lead us to a market with various strong small companies.

What will you do when elected?

I will do everything I have promised in my campaign:
Fund houses for the people, create more employment, create a information system to help new players with the game, I will end with bureaucracy, fund our troops better, etc…

What is your biggest achievement in the eUK so far?

My biggest achievement… Good question.
Well, one thing I’m very proud was to be Mayor of Wales for four terms in a row, until V1. During those terms, I worked really hard gifting people, helping them with the game, explaining how to play, I created schemes, contests and I was eventually President of the Regional Council.
I could also talk about my 6 terms as Member of Parliament or my Chancellor’s terms, my military or business career, but I think the level of work I achieved in Wales was the best thing I’ve made.

Why did you start playing the game?

I start playing the game because my cousin told me about a game that mixed politics and strategy. I never thought I would spend so much time in this game.
But the most important is: Why I stayed? I continued playing because I found this great community, those great people and I found that it was great fun to help people here.

What are your thoughts on the future of the game and how the inevitable boom in population and additional countries is going to affect it?

The population boom is affecting us right now. Actually, I think we can solve this by creating a better system to help new players, which I already explained in my manifesto.
We will develop the subject further when the election is over. Winning or loosing.
About new countries, well, this will create bigger alliances, with Peace and Atlantis trying to pull those countries to them. This can be decisive in the survival of the alliances.

What is your favourite type of cheese?

Well, my favourite type of cheese is the Camembert. Creamy and soft, ahh…
You should eat it with a nice glass of wine, while looking at the snow falling in Yorkshire.
Wink

Who’s your favourite eRepublik player other than yourself?

My favourite eRep. Player is, and always been Flamur. Flamur is distinctive, funny, and always has the right acid answer.

Have you got a fun fact about yourself?

No, I’m all serious.
LOL

Which is your favourite eRepublik country other than the eUK and why?

You are discarding eBelgium right? Because they are great, and fortunately are part of our country.
Well, that would be eCanada, followed by eIreland. Canada is a great country, it stood even against the eUSA, and is one of the most sympathetic ecountries. There you have great views, excellent Raw Materials( money!), and nice folks. I know some of the eCanadian and eIrish, and they are both nice people.

what do you think about the ukrp/tup coalition? in particular how do you think this going to effect the future of euk?

Squiddy, promised in his campaign for TUP Party Leader to fight for 'TUP Independence', also as Flamur, a member of TUP said, only 3 to 6 people in the entire party knew about this coalition.

This alliance can be broken, but they will have to pay 200 Gold. Putting price in democracy? I can't see PCP selling itself this way. Coalitions are to support a strong candidate, but what they did here was to create a 'blind alliance', what if the candidate isn't good enough? They are destroying democracy, and TUP is now a puppet.

The leadership from TUP made this without warning or questioning their members, and worse: this is totally contrary to what they promised.

This is going to affect eUK in this way:
It's almost the end of democracy. The sold democracy out without thinking twice.

Is there anything else we should know about you?

That I will ensure that eUK will get better. I hope to transform this country into a fairer one, with more opportunities and jobs to everyone.
I won’t sell myself, and always will stand for my ideals, for the people.
eUK deserves the best, the people deserve the best, and I will assure they have it.
