Yesterday, with the elections for Party President, agents of "PEACE" election-bombed Norway, resulting in a near-complete sweep of the elections, including such people as Balash, who led the election-bombing of China into oblivion.
In going for Party Presidencies, it would suggest that the goons of "PEACE" intend to gain control of Congress and then the Presidency to make Norway a agent of PEACE, regardless of the wishes of their citizens.

At the highest price, 1 ESP was going for more than 50 gold. This will force the Spanish government to either cope with massive, incredible deflation, unless they release a huge amount of currency onto the market. The problem with that, is that then a foreign actor will hold a huge number of ESP that they can dump back onto the market at any time, resulting in an equally destructive backlash.

Balash just got banned and Kir got the presidency. Everybody happy.
Is there any word on the other Party Presidencies? It appeared that goons had taken control in all the major parties - I mentioned Balash specifically because of his role in China.
an economic attack on a spain (which has import tariffs of practically zero on raw materials and a high GDP, but whos government is practically broke) seems to be a rather dangerous gambit. does this have any historical precedence?
I myself do condemn any such takeovers, no matter who is doing it. It is a despicable method and should be curbed by rules.
But because PEACE was mentioned here, I cannot refrain mentioning Atlantis's Romania which took over Russia in a similarly base manner, annexing the whole country against its people's wishes, by setting up their puppet to the presidency. So it is not PEACE only, but Atlantis as well, going for conquest 'by any and all means available'.

I agree absolutely and thank you for pointing this out. I have been considering this issue for a bit now, and am trying to come up with suggestions that will allow a country to gain or develop the resources necessary to prosper, allow a reasonable amount of conflict, but mitigate the influence of those who can only be described as barbarians. If you have any ideas, please post them or PM me - I would appreciate your input.

LoL, 90% of Norway's territory is Russia, 50% of population are Russians. These people want to be free and during party presidential elections they demonstrated their will. So shut up and stop to lie in your articles.

If Russians had won, that would be one thing - there is the long example of the Australian, Finnish, and Belgian independence parties. But I don't know how many Iranians live in territory occupied by Norway.
Past that, I'm not sure if there is anything in the article that is untrue, so if you are going to accuse me of "lying", please let me know what things you think are lies, so I can at least respond.
In the interest of keeping things clearer, I would appreciate it if you kept our discussion here, so people can read and understand both points of view.

@Quicksilver: Just because Romania and ATLANTIS was mentioned here, I can not refrain mentioning PEACE's Italy took over India just to get the money from the country account, or Iran took over Pakistan in a similar base manner, annexing almost whole country 🙂

as we all can see, 90% of takeover operations were made by PEACE countries like, Iran, Indonesia, Italy, Turkey. So nobody can trust PEACE anymore.
BravoRomeoDelta: I have had several ideas on this topic, but sadly I am fairly new here to understand every nuance of the game.
Myself, I think that a sort of nationality is necessary in the game; it is absurd that if I go to a country, I immediately become a member of that comunity, able to elect and be elected. At first I thought that the old 'ten day rule' would be enough but then I was told that Romanians were attempting takeovers even then, so it was not working perfectly either.
Then I thought that every person should have the option of declaring a citizenship which would be fairly strict, allowed to be changed only say once in a half-year period - or allowed to be changed by a sort of immigration office in every country.
So in this system moving would work something like this: when travelling to another country you would be able to choose a sort of 'short term' stay in a country, which would disallow voting or being elected, but still allow to fight or do business; and a 'long term' stay which would mean to apply for citizenship rights including voting and being elected. Short term would mean a week in maximum, while long term would mean a month minimum. Of course it is just a sketch, and would have to be worked out in detail.
Han Solo: Yes, I know. But Romania has a long history of takeovers, so it should be mentioned here. It seems a sort of national habit of yours, so maybe you are not to be trusted much either.
But as I said I condemn all such takeovers on a moral basis; I acknowledge that present rules make it possible; and I do everything in my power to change those rules.
That's it. I do not want to turn this argument into a PEACE-Atlantis one, and neither into a Hungarian-Romanian one.
Quicksilver, can you refresh my memory with that "long history of takeovers" made by Romania?
And for sure I do not want to turn this argument into a Romanian-Hungarian one, because , as far as I know, Hungary, did not made any takeover until now.

In the interests of preventing this discussion from becoming a spiral of accusations, I think we can generally agree that there are a number of bad incidents by both Atlantis and PEACE members. Conversely, the Hungarian-Romanian conflict has been relatively civilized.
How can we encourage the wars of the future to be less deceptive, and more straightforward?

One more thing quicksilver.. Romania had only one take-over: Russia. The others were coducted by Victro PEtrescu, and were condamned by the government.
I doubt whether anyone believes Petrescu's coups were not fully approved, directed and sponsored by the Romanian government. Romania has publicly embraced black ops, so it is rather pointless to try to disown Petrescu at this point.

Romania is the only nation in Atlantis which has done something like this rather than Indonesia, who has disregarded any eCitizens feelings by taking over Australia, South American nations, South Africa, along with Pakistan, Iran, and most of Peace Nations. Surprisingly, the other PEACE nation that i have no lost respect for, is France.
Hm, and I thought people from Atlantis nations moved to Bulgaria, France and were also planning Germany to win PP elections over there.
Good thing PEACE is organised and made sure Atlantis didn't succeed this time.

Well, I am not realy into this whole Atlantis and PEACE stuff but I believe that none of them is completly evil and none of them is good. But I am sick of this "They did...", "...but we were not the first" oh and especially I am sick of using the word "hypocritical".
As the administration of this game seems not be very interested in finding a solution of this rather stupid tool of political take overs a start would be to leave the own country in case administration is thinking of using this tool. I cannot believe, that all citizens actually approved the political take overs made of their governments in the past (Besides... no matter wether it was Romania, Indonesia, Atlantis, PEACE or whatever).
The funny thing about this issue is that a lot of people are angry about it but how does this work? There must be quite a few people who simply don't care about it and are willing to travel to another country and vote as their leaders tell them. So there is not just a president to blame for it but all these people who take part in an operation like that.
Although I do not believe that it would make any difference, but in case my administration would help or even do a political take over themselves. I would just leave this country... cause that is not the way I want to play this game.

Except that the wishes of their citizens are expressed finally through the voting process. Until enough Norse show up to claim their country, it'll just be ransacked like every other small, vulnerable nation. *cough* SouthKorea *cough*
