[BOOM] Prime Minister Interview

Day 1,959, 05:58 Published in Philippines Philippines by Boy Pick Up

Greetings!

The Media Director of Pick Up Sticks had a privilege to interview the Prime Minister of the Philippines who will run for the next Presidential elections, Al Raposas. He is also a Duke of the Royal House of Luzon and former Minister of Defense. It was very hard to conduct an interview with him because he has a very busy schedule but he still gave us some time.

Pick Up Sticks (PUS): Greetings Mr. Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Raposas (PMR): Greetings!

PUS: In your time here in eRepublik, what can you say as your greatest achievement?
PMR: Achievements, for me, should not be compared because every one of these always gives you that sense of achievement. However, I still have to answer this question. I think the greatest achievement is serving my country in the government. Service, after all, is the best our country can offer.

PUS: As you mentioned, " It would be better for a Philippines run like hell by Filipinos than a Philippines run like heaven by Macedonians.". If you get elected as the President, what plan do you have for the Macedonians?
PMR: We cannot conclude that the Macedonians must be fully eradicated from the country, as we did with the Brazilians. I admit that having foreigners in our ranks is a good point for our foreign affairs. However, what I am campaigning for is the limitation of foreigners in the country, and let it be governed by Filipinos themselves. Philippines for the Filipinos, this must spur our sense of nationalism.

PUS: Will you do the same for the Turks?
PMR: Yes. I admit they are good allies as well, but still, we Filipinos must stand up for our country. We have the right not to be taken over again.

PUS: From the past ePhilippine Presidents, who do you want to emulate?
PMR: Well, I admit that I have yet to study more on my ePH history but of the presidents that I have encountered, I think its good to emulate Mr aNiallator. First time I played Erepublik, I saw under his administration Indienesia, a word play for the 3 Indonesian islands we conquered. It was a short yet golden age, a period when we aren't retreating. We were on the offensive. Well, I am not saying though that I would again plunge the country into total war.

PUS: So you're saying you will try to bring back ePhilippines to its Golden Age.
PMR: I can't make promises that I am not sure I can achieve. We are in a fast changing world anyway.

PUS: You said in your proclamation rally in Vigan, "every individual in this country is important, the basic building block of society that we must help progress. The state must be obliged to take care of its citizens, as a human takes care of his body cells." but you said that you wanted to limit the foreigners in our country, doesn't that contradict with your previous statement?
PMR: No it does not. Foreign policies is not in league with domestic policies.

PUS: Do you support your current party's ideology of Socialism and bring back the former Socialist Republic? If not, please explain briefly what ideology you support.
PMR: Socialism itself has its own flaws that we must not perpetrate if we are to envision our country's future as shining, shimmering splendid. My party had agreed to limit some socialist policies which would have bad effects to our citizens, and apply some of my policies that do not fully contradict socialist policies. I will not establish a fully socialist republic for the old has gone, and the new has come.

My ideology supports individual achievement, for the citizen builds up our country. Individual achievement will be achieved if the government helps the citizens in that endeavor.

PUS: Give a word that describes you and explain how.
PMR: Personally, I don't like this kind of questions. Still, I have to answer. Maybe a word that can describe me is unique. All people are unique, so am I. This uniqueness makes us stand out from the crowd, so this trait must not be lost.

PUS: Ok. So, any last words for your supporters?
PMR: I am always used to few supporters, who really used both mind and heart to choose me as their candidate. What I can say is this: if you choose to support me, support me not to exact a toll on me if I'm elected, like using your clout to make me indefinitely indebted to you or what have you. Support me because of your convictions and principles, not for personal benefits.

PUS: Thank You, Mr. Prime Minister. It was a pleasure.
PMR: You're always welcome.

MY VIEW

Al Raposas has already proved himself here in the Philippines as a great cabinet member of previous administrations, and he has alot more to show us. He already impressed me with his gentleman-like attitude in accepting defeat and conceding but still showing eagerness to serve the nation despite his defeat. He is one of the few people we can call a 'true patriot'. He is ready to serve his country without any fear and only wants the betterment of his comrades, rather than his personal interests. He shows as what real nationalism is.

We have to pick another leader this April 5. And if you're going to ask me, he should be deserving of your votes. As one of our former President and great Socialist Comrade, Eldarion Sionnodel once told,

"Al Raposas is the future of ePhilippines if he is not win the presidental elections this time he will be the winner in his next run."
