[Boh] What I love about The Unity Party

Day 1,876, 13:32 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Bohemond4

The Unity Party is one of the oldest political parties in the eUK, indeed is the oldest progressive political movement. But it is more than merely a party, it is a community.

You will regularly find between 20 and 30 people on our IRC feed, not merely the well known names such as Dan Moir, Iain Keers or Talon Karrde but also less known like CrustyMango, Gucio, Perry Rhodan.

Together we are a community, together we are a safe, welcoming community away from the prying eyes of others where we can discuss ideas, share thoughts and raise points without fear of ridicule.

This comes together in the place where youth and experience meet. When I have questions for those with more experience than I, I know that I will get them. If I have an idea, I know that there are those who can help me develop it.

The Unity Party stands for something else that I believe in: Unity. Look at the very name of our country, The United Kingdom. Our nation is built on an ideal of Unity and this is something that we should strive towards. This means not policies for the few over the many, not policies for the individual ahead of the nation, but policies that support the nation, that build up the nation as a whole. Individually, we are weak, together we are strong.

And, of course, we do have an epic Dove as our symbol. For those literate out there, you know the Dove stands for peace, renewal and hope.
