The UKs recent conflicts
As the Minister of Defence for the last 3 months or so, I have been at the heart of the eUKs military and the war planning which puts me in a more unique position to view the eUKs wars as a whole. As we know, 3 months ago Argentina airstriked us and Ireland attacked at the same time. The end result was a wiped Ireland and Argentina thrown out of our nation.

During this conflict, we built up a closer relationship with Lithuania which we proved our friendship in WW6 when Germark invaded Lithuania as part of the CoT strikes into TWO and ACT. This was our own counter-invasion against Germany that saw Norway liberated and Denmark seized from Germany. The war ended with a peace treaty signed by all parties and the Danish regions returned in preparation for the invasion of America, something we have been involved with for the last week occupying from Pennsylvania to Maine.

Through this all, there has been criticism of the government handing back regions, although the peace signed with Ireland is of some benefit to ourselves, mainly through the continued use of a fruit bonus. However, there is strategic reasons for why we have handed regions back when we have, I shall cover what I can in this article.

US - and the problem of Occupation
The United States is in the top 7 most powerful nations, we are a lot further down in terms of raw strength. While we, with the MPPs we have, can punch through their walls and into their land we cannot, realistically, hold it long term or, even, short term. Ireland is 1/4 of our strength and is enough to handle on a good day, let alone a bad.

Therefore, how can we keep the US occupied long enough to make a difference? The answer is through stronger nations holding down the regions, nations who can hold onto these regions. Such as Poland and Serbia. The maxim in erep is that it is easier to invade a nation with more nations while the less to hold it makes occupation easier. This, certainly, seems to be the way for the eUK to mitigate the inevitable loss of held regions, and, through our allies, we can even cut the border to the eUK. We should not treat the handing over of regions as an embarrassment or loss, but as proof of a job well done: we invaded the US to gain fun and the chance to hit a punch for TWO, not to control the Americans.

Ireland
Once again the eUK has peace with Ireland, or, should I say, an uneasy peace after MUFC started the whole ball rolling into war. This ended in a wipe for Ireland which caused a damage drain for us in America, although this would be a short term advantage for the Irish. At the same time, we accomplished the defeat of MUFC's legacy and left the without Congress for a month.

Peace brings with it plenty of advantages for both nations, not only is Ireland left with a Congress this month, but we have gained more friendly relations with a neighbour, something that has not happened in many months with most of our neighbours opposed to our existence. It also opens the way to further negotiations and discussions, including the possibility for paving their entry into a new alliance. All of which benefits not only us, but their nation.

Airstrikes
Recently Macedonia launched an airstrike upon Pakistan, Thomas wrote an article covering this and the potential for the eUK to launch one and why we should save up. I link it as his argument I agree with and think we should prepare an escape if we ever need one, and, holding easy regions in a place where we have friends is always a benefit to one as isolated as we are.

tl;dr?
- TWO s stronk
- peace with Ireland is good
- handing regions to Poland in US is good
- we have nice slice of war pie
- should get an airstrike ready
