Join the new world

Hello everybody, and thanks for reading again. This is the second part of my four part article campaign which pertains to our government.

To whom it may concern: I would like to congratulate the Phillies on their World Series Championship title – I wrote a majority of this the morning after several hours of screaming and celebration, so please bare with me 😉

What do you think of when you think of the government? Do you think of a trustworthiness? Do you think of organization? Do you think of leadership, activity, and innovation? Well you should, but sadly a lot of the programs in America simply don't meet these standards.

Citizens won't get anything done unless they are told to, and who better to tell them than their president? If elected, I will make sure every program director knows what their job entails; I'll make sure that every congressman has an educated vote, and I'll try to make the lives of the newer citizens easier, probably improving the new citizen message.

If elected, here's what I propose for government programs in America:

Department of Defense (NOT NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL):
The DoD will take on the form of a foreign relations office in America. The Secretary of Defense in America will be Emerick. Emerick has promoted extreme activity over the past months and has wonderful relations with Atlantis. Franco, who is going to be given a position of leadership in Atlantis, will also work with Emerick in this field.
Positions Available: Ambassadors

National Security Council: Moishe
Moishe's organizational skills over the past month are amazing. If you have not seen his work, please join the eUS forums and look here (http://erepublikusa.com/forums/index.php?board=27.0) and here (http://erepublikusa.com/forums/index.php?board=28.0) . The National Security Guard will be used for basically one thing – organization. Generals, Squad Leaders, etc who are involved in the eUS military will receive orders from Moishe. The National Council will include military payment, soldier assembly, logistics, promotion of the military, Google Spreadsheets, etc.
Positions Available: Squad Leaders, Organizers, Experts of Logistics

Department of Economy (Economic Council):
This last month I was very impressed with our economic council. Having among the most active boards in the eUS forums (http://erepublikusa.com/forums/index.php?board=8.0) means a lot of active congressman – a goal that I will strive for if elected into presidency. My Secretary of Economy for November 2008 will be Justinious McWalburgson III. Justin, if you haven't met him already, is a very productive worker – one who is extremely active in the eUS forums. He knows a lot about the economy and is a very sensible person, which is why I trust him to be put in such a high position.
Positions Available: Economic Council Advisers, citizens who are good with scripting

Department of Justice
Last month we added two other important programs to the eUS – the FBI and CIA. There is no direct justice system in erepublik yet, but there certainly are citizens who seek crime. The DoJ will have those two branches: FBI and CIA.
Positions Available: Secretary of Justice

DoJ: Federal Bureau of Investigators
Rocco Baldelli is the current director of the FBI. The FBI's basic function will be to look over criminal status and potentials in USA, report multi-accounts, and report any kind of information that would harm national security. Information obtained by the FBI is not for public eyes. Agents and Directors are not allowed to go public with any information they report unless instructed by the president
Positions Available: Agents

DoJ: Central Intelligence Agency
Mikaleus is the current director of the CIA. The CIA is designed to gather important information from other countries' media, statistics, etc. Information obtained in the CIA is not allowed to go public unless instructed by the president.
Positions Available: Many workers needed - Anybody who can speak a foreign language will come in handy

Department of Society
The Department of Society will take the Citizen Expansion Program and the Department of Regional Development under its wing. What was once the title "Head of CEP", will now be "Secretary of Society".

DoS: Citizen Expansion Program
I was pretty disappointed with the CEP this past month. The CEP is normally a very active program in America, but it took a turn for the worse after Roby quit. I currently seek a very active, experienced citizen to lead the CEP if I am elected into presidency. I have a few people in mind, but I want to diversify my possibilities too.
Positions Available: Head of CEP, general CEP advisors & workers

CEP: Department of Education
I realize that when a lot of you hear "Department of Education", you immediately think of Martin Sunter. I plan to ammend the reputation of the DoE by placing trusted and active individuals in the organization. The Department of Education, for those of you who do not know, is a fairly new program in the eUS. It focuses on educating new citizens who participate in articles and on the forums. The DoE revolves around bettering the citizens of today to make tomorrow's vote well-informed and significant.
Positions Available: Director and Teachers

CEP: Welcoming Committee
Not much to say here. Gorzong did a very good job with the welcoming committee in the last month. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the WC was the ONLY active part of the CEP. Gorzong, if elected, will keep his position as Director of the Welcoming Committee.

While many of you think that it is imperative to keep local government in mind, I do not think that we will need to branch the WC to the regional level. Speaking of local administration and with regard to the local government...

Department of Regional Development
Roby did not give a good explanation nor purpose for this new program, but I feel as though it is a necessity for organization. The regional development team will basically be a group of citizens that form a nation-wide mayor system. While mayors were eliminated from the game with the start of V1, the admins hinted that congressmen will have importance on specific regions in the near future. Having a team that is destined to perfect each and every one of our regions will be necessary not only to our defense in the case of a war, but also for the sake of maximizing our companies' productivity.

The regional development team will work with the congress to determine where hospitals and defensive systems are; they will educate upcoming general managers of raw material companies on where they can maximize their productivity; and they will make sure that companies are spread out across many regions instead of just one (in the off-chance that we get invaded and start to lose ground).

Department of Fun
The Department of Fun is possibly the most important organization we have. The members are self-appointed and give themselves their own titles (Bishop of Bliss, for example). To participate in the DoF, all you have to do is announce it, and then fun the shit out of something. DoF's main job is to keep the game fun. The DoF regularly funs articles or topics, and, when it achieves maximum funnination something termed as a "fungasm" is released, which blankets everyone in hot, gooey, fun.

Last month, Roby created a spreadsheet for each of these programs. However, if elected, I will discontinue the usage of these spreadsheets, as they were inconvenient and a pain in the ass to oversee. Their equivalent will be their forum threads.

Each of these programs will have their own spot on the forums. All citizens who register for the eUS forums will have access to the discussions and threads of the Department of Defense, Department of Society, and Department of Economy (granted, some DoD discussions will be made private due to the nature of the content). The discussions and threads in the Department of Justice will not be open to public eyes because all of this information is to be kept classified. Because of this, there will be a lack of input in these threads, which is the reason why we need a lot more workers in this field.

If you don't want to read the entire article, then allow me to summarize:

If elected, I will greatly expand the government programs in America. My new proposals for government include an umbrella system in which there are four (five) different Departments: every other government program branches off of these departments. Also, Department of Fun.

We have the highest population in the world - an efficient government is just as necessary as an efficient economy. Coming off of that, keep an eye out for my next platform article on the economy. I will be announcing my cabinet sometime in the next week
