[Belgium]A Country Torn Apart - Apply Inside

Many many months ago, during the first days of Erepublik, many countries were sparsely populated and barely alive. When the war module was released, the few Belgians who played Erepublik made a merge with the United Kingdom, for a few reasons:

1. They felt that with the war module coming it was the only way to stay protected (a la the Anti-Denmark).
2. The economy in Belgium wasn't functioning due to low demand, and combined into the UK it would be better suited.
3. The more community members you can have access to, the more successful you can be. Belgium was always within their rights to ask for freedom from the UK, which it didn't.

During French Toast, Belgium was used as a playground of sorts. There were always a very small faction of Belgians that wanted their Independence, however the majority of the group always wanted unity with the UK, a community which it had become tied to. However, within French Toast, Belgium was unexpectedly given it's independence.

It functioned for a few months on it's own, until a group of rogues financed by an EDEN Scumbag tried to take it over Politically. Apparently, Belgium and it's residents hadn't been through enough, and EDEN thought it would benefit them to take it over and use it as an outpost for ATLANTIS (let's face it, you can call it whatever you want, it's still ATLANTIS). Despite the Belgians disagreement with it, and openly admitting to taking it over, those involved still moved to take it over.

The Belgians were in an awkward position once again. They could allow this group of EDEN Scumbags to take it over, or merge once again. It made it's own choice, and merged with the Netherlands, a country which it shares language and historical ties to. It has been peaceful ever since.

Until 0045 Erepublik yesterday, when another bunch of EDEN Scumbags freed Belgium, financed by an exiled Belgian, who couldn't succeed in Germany or Belgium. They've flat out admitted they're PTO'ing Belgium for their own needs, and care nothing for this country or the people in it.

We are asking all citizens of PEACE, in every country, whether you are a part of the Military or not, to help us prevent the Belgians from going through another Political takeover. Contrary to what any scumbag is going to tell you, there are actually real Belgians in Erepublik, and they do quite enjoy being left alone. We're going to ensure that happens.
