Good morning
As close neighbours in RL, one of the hardest eRepublik notions to face when I joined the game, was the realisation of Australia and New Zealand being enemies. Then game mechanics were explained to me. It was still a strange and mysterious concept.
Alas, it is true. However, due to the fantastic ground work put into the idea of mutual respect and co-operation as Pacific partners and putting past issues aside, a blossoming relationship bloomed from what many would have thought impossible only last year.
There is a lot I know, but although I can't reveal a lot for security and Cabinet-In-Confidence reasons, I can say the advocates of stronger regional partnerships will be pleased with developments abroad.
Now to business - a good relationship requires good representation in all we do in e-Aotearoa (The e-Land of the Long White Cloud).
Minister Binda33 is a long time Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs, serving in various administrations, a current Deputy Speaker of the eAustralian Senate, a senior administrator of the Official eAustralian Forums, a fighting force in Seal Team 6 - and surely a stockholder in a multinational drinking tea manufacturing company.
This morning, I have formally commissioned her as our Ambassador to eNew Zealand.
A small gift from the OFS as congratulations flow to Her Excellency Ambassador Binda. Best wishes as she tirelessly advocates for Trans-Tasman peace and prosperity.
On a personal note, a thank you to former Prime Minister Majester for entrusting me with managing our diplomatic corps and to Prime Minister Marcos Arolia for allowing me to continue. We have a long way to go until we have a mission in every country in the New World!
