+++ As I Return - Changes: Past and Future +++

8 Day 697, 19:04 USA
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

Good Evening Citizens of Glorious eRepublik!

Four Score and seve-

Er...Well, it hasn't been that long, luckily. But 7 months ago, which feels more like 7 long years, I left eRepublick. That is after having maintained my legacy for an upwards of 6 months, the exact number of which will not come to mind. In those months I held many positions and made a sizeable impact. I was elected to Congress twice, under the AAP which, since my departure, as worked it's way to the top party in the country. For a while I was also a Sergeant (XO) in the eUSA National Guard until I resigned to focus on my political interests. I was also the Public Relations Director in the AAP just before my leave when it was under the leadership of Ian John Lock IV. With my return there remains a huge gap in my known history of eRepublick and the eUSA; one I have been trying to fill.

I have wondered back to the eUSA forums and into the eUSA IRC, looking for old friends, and new information. I see many of you are still around, and I hope you will welcome me back. Those of you who were unlucky enough to have never felt my presence, then the time has come for you to get a chance at doing so.

The times have definitely changed, for sure. I have gotten glimpses of a past marked by the return of Franco, and Russian occupation. Such events are shocking and immense whilst unfolding, and even more so when taken in after returning to a place you once knew so differently. That is how I feel as I write this.

Politics isn't the only fresh thing either. Seems the site layout has been tweaked a bit, and a new advertising feature has been put in place. One that really catches my eye, and something I will have to check out.

And even now, as I continue to fill in the missing events of the past, I am forced to look towards the future. This return is not accompanied by a guarantee I will stay. I am busier than I ever was, but my intrigue is calling me back, and telling me to stay. I must think of my political future. I have a history with the Liberal Party, and I made my mark within the AAP. I feel like a breath of fresh air would be a nice change as well as a welcome challenge. I must catch up and decide quick however, as congressional elections are only a week away, and I would like to reclaim my seat.

That's all I have to say for now, but I will be back with more to say soon, I promise.

Thanks for Reading,
-LennyA

Here's a basic history:
-Uncle Sam was president. He invaded Mexico for the lulz. Then he made poor choices that ended up letting Portugal take all the land back. He then gave tons of money to a couple tanks and did a bad job communicating to congress. He was the first president to be impeached.
-Scrabman took over, and won another 3 terms all by himself, the most ever. We had a brief invasion attempt at Russia but it failed, along with the entire ATLANTIS alliance. The military did a much better job overseas, liberating most of Greece and Israel from Turkey in June.
-Harrison Richardson (later revealed as AKA Franco/TGM) was the Sec of State, and got Scrabman's blessing for the July term. It turned out to be a curse. PEACE launched a full out invasion, including a 2-month planned PTO of the UK to force them to join PEACE and give Hungary a back door into Canada. Russia attacked through Alaska. We held off the first few waves, but eventually it was too much. France was attacking Canada now as well, and Russia was in the Midwest when Indonesia barged through Japan and into Hawaii. By the time elections came around, we were down to about a dozen states on the eastern coast. Every state lost meant tax dollars lost and more spent on defense. Simply put: we were running out of time, money, and options.
