Since the unveiling of this competition two other sponsors have kindly stepped forward so now the combined total equals 20GOLD*.The goal of this competition is to inspire entertainment into our media and promote journalism. The competition will run from Mon 27th of August until Mon 3rd of September and it is open to all present or past Irish citizens. To prevent my bias the winner will be decided upon by a panel of 5 old Irish citizens (I'm thinking me, moo, grainne, ibhoy & ydub - nobody has been approached for any role so this may vary).

The competition is simple: Write an article on a topic with historic relevance to eIreland.
Write about topics such as the past wars we've been in, a piece on your favourite eIrish moment, a full or part history of our island, a presidential review, your memoirs, the history of your past or present MU/Political party. That kind of stuff, make it intelligent and use your head.

IMPORTANT! ENTRANTS MUST READ!!!!

-You may enter as many articles as you like
-Be sure to PM me a link to your article(s)
-You may post your article in a foreign media (if you dont have Irish citizenship) or through an eIrish citizen but just be extra sure to notify me
-The winner is guaranteed 10GOLD
-*5GOLD of the prize will only be accessible to the winner if there is a minimum of 6 participants
-*10GOLD of the remaining prize will only be accessible to the winner if there is a minimum of 10 participants
