February, 2010. Josh Frost is in the office for the second time, first eUS POTUS to win non-consecutive terms. The eUnited States is on the verge of leaving EDEN, a feat which will be accomplished ultimately by PigInZen in March of that year. Plans are in motion to bring the game into V2, and the cogs quietly turn to make it so.

It's been years, but it seems like yesterday. And in all that time, I like many have ultimately had one goal: Country President.

I won't lie about my ambition. In my earlier days, it consumed all action. I drove myself towards that goal, and while I had fun, I eventually burnt out. I lost the meaning of the game in my crazed pursuit. Recent times have been different.

I've found a party I can call home again, experience in my attempts and success in such opportunities. But most importantly I've got my groove back.

So this is me, running for POTUS.

Community and friendship, that's what keeps us coming back. Ask any player and that's what they'll tell you about why they stick around for so long. I am honestly lucky to call many of you friends, but as of right now I've got two friends I wanna introduce you to. One is old, one is new. You know how the song goes.

The first knew me way back when I was still just a wee lil halfling scrambling about the playground. We grew up together, in way. I assumed that he was an oldfag, just from the way he presented and carried himself, and he to me at least has always come off as one of the most knowledgeable and dedicated friends I've maintained.

Very experienced, highly amicable, and just a dedicated player as ever you would get. He also has the pleasure of having done the job I've already assigned to him before. He's come back to the game, and I'd like to bring him along for this ride with me.

I'd like to introduce you all to my Chief of Staff, Cromstar.


My second friend's a newer friend, and those are always good. Whereas Crommie may not be as well known by some of you younger kippers, I'm sure everyone's heard of my VP pick.

Had we known each other back in Athanaric's hey day, I'm sure we would have been the bestest of friends. He's a classic propagandist, cultured in both the art of the troll and the finer points of Foreign Affairs. Loveable scamp is one such descriptor, though he has a vast array of knowledge and contacts that have, time and again, made him a necessary accessory to every cabinet in the last half a year.

Now, many choose VP's on their ability to sway parties. I don't like that, never have. I don't like forcing people to try and be on the ticket with me just to impress other parties. I mean, if you're gonna be POTUS, why not have your friends along for the ride? There is no other I would want at my side if I'm to be elected.

A good friend, a top kek writer, and a master of posting the right meme at the right moment, my VP choice is Derphoof.
