[AMP] PotUS interviews!

Hello fellow Americans!

PotUS elections will take place really soon, and the primary elections are happening right now in every party. This month, there are 3 candidates in AMP's primaries: dmjohnston, irule777 and greeling. Our media team has asked them some questions, in order to make everything clear and help every AMPer to decide who to vote for.



Dmjohnston

1.So dmjohnston, can you tell us a little bit about your background in the eUS?

I joined eRep back in late 2009. I was going to school at West Point at the time and was apparently really bored. I believe StumbleUpon brought me to the website, got signed up, and have been playing on an off ever since. I was in the Training Corps back when it was the official training branch of the eUS, served as a senior officer then went to Cavalry for a bit, served as officer there, then back to TC. Died a few times, came back to life a few times 😛 When I came back about a year ago I left eUS mil and joined Air Force as a senior officer, eventually becoming the commander, and also got involved in politics with Congress, cabinet positions, the works. Spent some time in EZC as well, during that time. Early on the community is really what held me here. Now it's the community and all the money I've spent on the game lol.

2.What do you think really sets you apart from the other candidates?

I like to think I'm a good leader. I think I am decisive, driven, and reliable. I get the job done and overcome adversity to do it.

3.What would you say are your strengths and your weaknesses? What would you do
in order to best utilize your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses?

Well, I kind of just answered that first part on accident lol. In terms of weaknesses, I tend to get fired up pretty quickly when under attack. I sometimes take too much work on myself, as well, instead of delegating. To work on that weaknesses, I've made a concerted effort to stay calm when I'm faced with opposition and talk it out. I had that happen just yesterday, actually. And ensuring I trust in my team and provide them with whatever they need will help me leave things in there hands where I can. That ties in with the leadership side of things, as well. I need to be able to put tasks to my team and trust in their ability that they'll be accomplished in a suitable manner, and I absolutely do.

4.If you'll be elected as the PotUS, what will be our first action?

First action would probably be to get everyone's access sorted. I do have some changes in staff for next month, but since I already have the necessary access, I can make sure they get their access fixed to get to work right away.


5.Why should an AMPer vote for you?

I like to think it's obvious that I'm military-minded, which is an important part of AMPs culture. I have a great respect for your party and hope that's been evident thus far.


6.Anything else you'd like to add?

I hope that anyone who's unsure about which way to vote will talk to me and ask me any questions they may have. I've tried to make myself available for questions from anyone so that everyone can be well informed in their decision.

1.So irule777, can you tell us a little bit about your background in the eUS?

I joined the eUS over a year ago and really enjoyed how large our community was at the time. I originally got started in the welcome committee under Othere and after two weeks of working there I became Director. A few days after that Paul Proteus took a risk and allowed me to become him Secretary of the Interior and I've really loved working for the country ever since. I very much enjoy talking to most people on IRC, I love the forums and the media, and I've just generally enjoyed the nation. I held my interior job for three terms before stepping out and joining the NSC as a Deputy and have held several other roles since then as well.

2.What do you think really sets you apart from the other candidates?

I really think I have more passion and drive for what I'm doing and what I want to do. As great of a term as DMJ had during his first month, I don't see any energy from his campaign articles. He's not really talking about any plans to move forward, just what he's done. I think we have a clear plan, a cabinet willing to work hard for it, and the work ethic to get it done. I'm very excited about our platform and I think it's what makes my campaign so interesting and exciting.

3.What would you say are your strengths and your weaknesses? What would you do
in order to best utilize your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses?

My strengths in Domestic affairs are obvious by now I think. I do a great job helping new players, coming up with programs, staying active, pushing media activity, keeping people working together, and just overall running the domestic departments. I'm absolutely going to utilize those strengths next month, and that's important. My weaknesses, while I don't think are as big as some people believe, are in foreign policy and Defense. I've absolutely prepared a cabinet that will make up for that weakness and I'm absolutely ready to still do a great job in those areas.

4.If you'll be elected as the PotUS, what will be our first action?

I've gotten that question a few times now, and my biggest thing is pushing more IRC activity. Right out of the gate we should ensure our departments ramp up article production, as this month was dismal in Interior and could be better in Education, and we could easily advertise these important programs and links. Getting new players on IRC can happen through Vortex, the Welcome committee, articles, events, games, competitions, personal invitations, and more, and it'd be my first major focus. We'd also be pushing hard to ensure the departments immediately got going on our domestic, foreign, and defense goals. I want to hit the ground running on day one for sure, as I think that's the kind of energy and work ethic the nation deserves next month.


5.Why should an AMPer vote for you?

The AMP should vote for me because I have a plan to push this nation forward. I want to get new players involved in the game (and have a few new cabinet guys from the AMP) and I want to build a community that's more exciting to be apart of. It's about improving this game for everyone as much as it's about improving this game for just a few new players. The AMP is a party that works to help people, and so will my administration.


6.Anything else you'd like to add?

I hope the AMP won't just see me as an experienced candidate. I think I have the experience needed to more than succeed in the job, and I think I have the ideas, energy, and passion to ensure we push this nation. It's about electing a President who believes in a strong future and who is willing to make that happen. I want to improve our domestics because it's how we can build our future, and I intend to improve our foreign affairs and defense as well. I hope all you out there will strongly consider me. Feel free to personally message me and ask questions as well. As well, I hope many of you out there can see past one cabinet member you may disagree with. It's about the campaign itself, the ideas, the experience, and the intent we put forward. I think overall we've run a strong campaign.

1.So greeling, can you tell us a little bit about your background in the eUS?

I'm greeling the best person ever. I've done a lot of not really important things in this game. I could list them all but people would say those things are stupid. I like to think Chairman of Gosling Photos is an important job but people don't. I guess the best way for you to know who I am is just think greeling.

2.What do you think really sets you apart from the other candidates?

I am greeling and they can not give people greeling but I can give them greeling.

3.What would you say are your strengths and your weaknesses? What would you do
in order to best utilize your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses?

My strengths are that I'm greeling and my weakness is pictures of Channing Tatum.

4.If you'll be elected as the PotUS, what will be our first action?

I guess make fun of the losers and make sure they know I am better than them in all ways.


5.Why should an AMPer vote for you?

Cause I'm greeling. Also the bribes I am giving people should be motivation.
