Congress: Recap and ATO Win
Secretary of Media Paul Proteus

Contrary to this image, the eUS government has the highest expectations in our newly elected Congress

In the constant cycle of elections that is eRepublik, yesterday we all vote for Congress. Shown below are the results.

Official Results Above~

While the AFA (known Serbian sponsored and RGR associated PTO party)maintained a higher percentage of the vote than any individual party (27.5%) it is a decrease from last months's 28.18%, solidifying the AFA's downwards trend in past months. The Feds once again drew the most votes amongst the top 4 with 611 votes, though this election also served as a success for the AMP who, after making a deal with an Albanian sixth party, received 591 votes, a marked increase from last month. The Feds and AMP both received 12 Congress people (with two candidates in the AMP being sixth party members) while the WTP and USWP each won 7 spots.

Congratulations to our incoming Congressmen, and good job America voting against the AFA, at this rate soon we will reach our goal and they will no longer be a threat.

POTUS Debate Recap
Deputy Secretary of Media George Armstrong Custer

Saraht0ga set up the eAMPR radio for the debate, which started about a half hour late due to technical problems at eNPR's home at BlogTalkRadio.
Well-known whale Oblige moderated a lively debate between former President Artela, Dr Sexy Luis, and Go-Go Tenshibo. The debate ran about an hour and a half and covered hot topics including the future of America in (or out of) CoT, whether or not the next President will drop The Bomb on Serbia, and the status and future of the USAF.
The discussion got a bit loose as the subject of the Unity candidate process came around, each candidate taking a different tack on how effective it has been and whether or not it's really necessary going forward.
Remember, America-- an informed vote is a smart vote. Listen to the Debate show, read the candidates' articles, and participate in your Party's CP Primary.

Regarding the upcoming Election and Candidates
Deputy Secretary of State NewAzazel

This article is a reprint from NewAzazel's paper.

For the most part, the presidential candidates have chosen very similar cabinets. Some see this as them not promoting new blood to do jobs, or not choosing different players to allow a diversity of choice. A lot of these secretaries were put in just last month to do jobs, and I'm getting promoted from deputy. Othere has been an excellent Sec of Interior, Cromstar has performed excellently organizing our USAF, Paul has brought us consistent WHPRs again and made them shine, and Mazzy has made it her favorite hobby to teach the young. Why fix what isn't broken? You're also not seeing deputies chosen, which would likely show quite a difference. Also, choosing different people for the sake of them being different isn't actually a recipe for success. I know that half the fun in elections is being ooo-ed and awe-ed by the cabinet choices, but it looks like you'll have to focus on the presidential candidates themselves this month.

This joke has never been made before

Want to change this? Start participating. And I don't mean write an article complaining about this election, I mean volunteering. Every month presidents put up cabinet applications. Every month departments request recruits. Apply. If you don't get a response, send them a message. If you are turned down, show them you're worthy of the job. Work in your parties and show how you improve them. Work for your government and make them notice you. Instead of writing an article once a month complaining or shouting a disapproving comment, continually participate in the discussion and offer suggestions on how to improve the situation. You don't make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas.

Quick Missions Update
Secretary of Media Paul Proteus

Some of our more observant readers may have noticed new missions appearing in the mission window.

I'm not entirely sure what Global Warming means but suure

Though these missions have yet to be added to the wiki at the time of publishing, you can read about them and the rewards here

Simplistically though, there are three different tracks, each four parts.

Rat Problems: These missions relate to fighting, and are rewarded in bazookas.

Survival Techniques: These missions relate to gaining strength training and are rewarded in energy bars.

Gathering Supplies: These missions relate to buying food and weapons are are rewarded in storage.

So, That's all for today,
E Pluribus Unum eUSA~
