Winston Hope Smith running for Country President - Introducing the Team

Hi Colleagues, Comrades and Citizens

In this my second article I want to set out my team and how I wish to reorganise some of the Departments of Government.

In an Winston Hope Smith administration I want to give some newer players a chance to shine. So, in choosing my team, I have deliberately given a couple of these player their chance. However it is really important that they know what is required. So, as a policy, I have sought to ensure an experienced player is alongside to, in one case to jointly run the Ministry and in other to be an advisor.

In this game I trust Bean. He is an awesome organiser and is the best PP the ILP had in my time as a member.

In the Ministry of Defence the Mod will be Kurdt Fradenburg who will be returning to eIreland. Kurdt will be announcing his team shortly but be assured it will have that mix of experienced and newer players.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will now incorporate the Ministry of Immigration which I think we all would agree is not working well. Again, because it worked so well last time I have decided on a duo and joey millz and Ethel Rosenberg will be the Ministers. Ethel has shown the ability to think clearly and coolly and joey has that natural ability to “get on” with people so needed at this time.

The Ministry of Finance is very important and we all know the hours Sweet Drinker puts into this to have eIreland in the shape we are in. So like each of the previous recent Country President's I am of the opinion not to fix something when it is not broke.. So Sweet has kindly agreed to continue doing what he does as Minister.

Another Ministry that, in my humble opinion, has not worked is the Ministry of New Citizens. But what has worked is the military side The Boot Camp. So I am proposing to transfer the Non Military side of this Ministry to the Boot Camp team under Irasian as Commander. They will now, hopefully, develop all aspects of a new player getting them up to speed and thereby aiding player retention.

A Ministry that has worked well last time is the Ministry of Community and I have asked, and they agreed, Patrick O'Leary and James Kelliher to say on . So expect more quizzes! I contend we all play this game for fun and enjoy, no matter where we lie on the spectrum of politics etc. in eIreland so this Ministry is part of our efforts to cement the bonds that unite us.



Now the New Citizens Ministry AKA known as Recruitment or Baby Boom has stalled. What I think is missing here is ideas. So in the first week of my Presidency I intend to open a discussion on what we can do. We have a lot of people who arrived on our shores by differing means. What we know is each of those methods worked because we are here. So part of my idea is to list each of those methods so we can utilise each in turn (or together). We also need new ideas. I deliberately left this position vacant to see if someone brings to the table ideas and the drive. If someone shows a natural ability for this role I will appoint them otherwise I will take on this project.

A new Ministry will be the Minister of Silence...I have no idea what this Ministry will do but I am assured that its sole occupant Viktor Kurgan has great plans...yes I’m worried too 🙂

Finally I have asked (and he agreed) moomoohead to advise me as CP on the duties and functions that the CP will have. You see I too will be new, new to the operations of the office of Country President, and so to balance the team I asked Moo onboard. He will not be returning to eIreland.
