White House Press Conference Today at 18:30:

Head on over to #whitehouse.public today at 18:30 erep time for a press conference. That's 9:30 PM eastern, 8:30 PM central, etc., etc...

President Glove, along with Chief of Staff Justin McCravok and Minister of Foreign Affairs Emerick will be there to answer questions. All Government Secretaries are invited to attend.

Your faithful interim WH Press Secretary -- that's me -- will be there too. Mostly to take drink orders, arrange chairs and do other important interim press secretary stuff like make sure there are no untidy microphone placement problems and so forth.

Cabinet Reorg:

The new Secretary of the Interior is CRoy, who replaces Athanaric in that role. CRoy has announced that his deputies will be: jerseygirldani, Joe Newton, and Vanek26. For those of you looking for something great to read, you can't do much better than CRoy's paper, Perpetual Motion.

Bradley Reala is now the Secretary of Defense, with Speedcat McNasty as his Deputy. The idea is to make Arm America as efficient as possible and to allow Speedcat to concentrate his attention on the Office of Militia Support. By the way, there's a p good discussion going on here regarding the role of Militias in the eUSA.

Synergy Polls:

The new Synergy Polls will be operational by this weekend. A tool for doing social surveys, this will help in understanding why players think and act as they do, what sort of players are likely to think and act in different and innovative ways, as well as how they might advise the Executive to deal with a particular problem.

While opinion polling obviously can't provide the solution to every problem, it is one more way to get citizens involved and to help craft policies that meet citizens' needs.

State Department on Speed:

The State Department under the direction of Jelly9473 is reporting an extraordinarily low inactivity rate of only 20% among ambassadors. This is a splendid achievement.

With upcoming changes to the game, the ability of the eUSA to understand and interact well with nations around the New World is more critical than ever. To help drive that inactivity rate down to zero, sign up to join the diplomatic core: Ambassadors Applications.

Wat?!?! You still aren't subscribed to and still don't vote every day for WH Press Room (WHPR) and the papers listed below?!?!?! Child, I don't know what to say...

Hey, thanks a million to those who've been encouraging me in my meagre efforts to put out these messages every day.

You know, a great master once said that when a beautiful thing catches a compliment in our eye, the object of our affection often pays on the spot with a dear little blush. We don't know whether to expect such a payment, and if by chance we receive a flash of offended dignity, instead of that little blush, then we should know better than to give any more of our trade on those terms. In truth, compliments are sometimes given away, with no bill presented. It's rare, of course. Maybe once in a century.

This is not one of those times.
