White House Press Conference Tomorrow:

Save the date: Saturday, March 19th, 18:30 erep time. That's 9:30 PM eastern, 8:30 PM central, etc...

A White House press conference featuring President Glove and Chief of Staff Justin McCravok will be hosted at #whitehouse.public

Trading Routes and Productivity Bonuses:

A discussion and poll is underway on the eRepbulik forum concerning a recent letter from Plato to Country Presidents about a change, starting on Day 1,219, regarding the implementation of trading routes and how MPP's will be paid for:

"My dear president, Rumors say that starting Day 1,219, your country will need trading routes for the regions located far away from the mother country. What does this mean exactly? It means that all your regions will have to be connected in order to provide the productivity bonuses.

"Another news refers to the Alliances, which, also starting Day 1,219, will cost National Currency instead of Gold. The price for an alliance will be 10,000 National Currency"

While the switch from Gold to Cash for handling Alliances will affect government budgeting, it's the "trading routes" proposal that's causing heads to spin from Miami to Pécs, from Friesland to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, from.. well, you get the picture.

While Citizen-Secretary Evry's think tank over at Treasury is considering the economic implications, our military, fiscal and foreign relations planners are reckoning what this will mean for strategic preparations.

In the meantime, why not follow Rod Damon's advice and make sure you are getting plenty to eat!

Muckraking:

The tabloid 16 Shells recently questioned why an article by President Glove was org-voted. The article raised a number of questions that were accurately answered in short order by Citizen Syrup in the Comments section.

Asking such questions is part of the role of a free and open press. Citizen Gnilraps, the editor of 16 Shells, should be commended for his keen journalistic sense.

In fact, he raises a valid point, if perhaps a bit peripherally. Which is this: If you want English-language articles in the Top Ten, then vote, vote, vote!

It doesn't cost you anything to vote up a newspaper article. If you're not voting up the DoD orders every day, then you're doing it wrong. The same goes for all government publications. In fact, citizens, it's your duty as a red-blooded e-American to vote for all articles that have something interesting to say, whether you completely agree with them or not.

Which reminds me...

If you are subscribed to and vote for the WH Press Room (WHPR) and to the following papers, then you are a real American!

- Department of Defense Orders, from the Department of Citizen Orders

- Easyrider, from the Pony Express

- The Vanguard World, President Glove's paper
