Who's going to win?

Day 956, 15:54 Published in Ireland Ireland by Ronan Donovan

60 games have now been played in the 2010 World cup.In just over a week the final four games will have been played and we will know the champions. Now there are four teams left,so which one of them will claim the ultimate prize?

Uruguay
Probably the least likely to do it.They have though been very impressive and have a really good side.Forlan has been excellent and Suarez has proven to be a handy(pardon the pun) striker.Their defence has also been very strong. They face Holland next and can reach their 3rd. final if they play to the best of their abilities.I think it will be 4th. place for them though.

Holland
They have been in 2 finals before and will be looking to finally bring home the cup. They have an excellent team at the moment with top class players such as Robben,Sneijder,Kuyt and Van persie really showing their class in the last few weeks. They knocked out Brazil so they have every chance of succeeding on July 11 but I think they will come up short just like in the 70's.
Prediction:Runners-up

Germany
The disappointing loss of Ballack looked like it would ruin the Germans' chances. As it turns out,it has been a blessing in disguise.Young players like Ozil,Muller and Khadira have emerged as stars and have shone against England and Argentina. The old partnership of Klose and Podolski has again proved to be a deadly strike partnership and has provided plenty of goals. They haven't won it in 2 decades but they look like a team who can't be stopped.I think the cup is going back to Berlin.

Spain
European champions and a really great side made up of skillful players including Xavi,Iniesta and Villa. They can easily beat anyone on their day but they do seem to have defensive problems. They haven't been too impressive so far but Villa has been amazing as he usually is.They are favourites to win and with their talents it's not hard to see why.If they beat Germany they should win the competition but that will be no easy task.
Prediction:3rd.
