Just so everyone's aware... Krakie likened Appleman's role as MoF to the "cat in a box argument" (his words); in the name of education, I informed this ignorant soul 'schroedinger's cat' is the name of the "argument", and that it not an "argument" but a paradoxical experiment to illustrate entanglement in quantum physics.

This was my duty as a learned man, but now I understand I was overzealous in my presentation when I accidentally offended Krakkie in suggesting he would argue Newton's Law with the brick which fell on his head as a child... I apologize that I brought such a tearful reaction from him. ;___;


However, for the sake of education, the use of schroedinger's cat as an analogy for the general ignorance on the status of the Irish treasury is incompatible;

+ Schroedinger's cat says that the onlooker does not know whether or not the cat inside the box is dead or alive hence neither possibility can be ruled out therefore the cat is simultaneously dead and alive (until the onlooker looks into the box).

+ Krakkie refers to the Irish treasury as the cat. His analysis says that due to the ignorance of many citizens to the status of the treasury/lack of benefit from it... to them the treasury is non-existent. However, in the Schroedinger's cat experiment, the existent of the cat is not in question... but the status of the cat (dead or alive).

+ Use of Schroedinger's cat would only support the assertion that due to the secrecy surrounding the Irish treasury, Irish citizens cannot quantify it... i.e. they can not rule out the possibilities that the treasury could be huge or tiny... therefore the treasury is simultaneously huge and tiny. But in either status, the treasury still exists.

+ The existence of the cat / treasury (or 'matter' in the context of quantum physics) is never in question - hence making the use of Schroedinger's cat a poor analogy.

i am better learned than you. just in other subjects you incompetent poser. you can look at schrodingers cat in media i heard it in the serious man or some tv series but it is such a common analogy that its status as qunatum physics argument is no longer valid. its basic template is there is a barrier that keep us from knowing the status of the object in the barrier. using this basic template we can therefore make several statements and relate it to other objects. A creative and intelligent person uses such a experiment and bend it into whatever way it fancies him. in my own fields of study it would not really be that useful i cannot see how one would use it designing a program or as project manager as network engineer or as programmer furthermore in my other field of study its about interpretation but there will be other theories more appropriate.

yes scientist uses computers in their studies that does not mean you will use it in a normal program.

Very small number of qubits? That's the beauty of it. Adding even small number of qubits creates exponential leaps. Besides is it really small?

well of course but i would wait for someone to build this into a programming interface and then learn myself to use it . however in business programming it would be overkill so truly i cant see how much help since i can just wait and any problem will be solved by newer better computers. like slow programs wait a few years on new computers same programs now runs instant.

what i am saying is that putting it in a account giving 1 person the only access is not very clever for several reasons. 1 is transparency. we simply do not know how much we have in treasury. lack of knowledge means lack of understanding and blind decisions by the congress. or like we have in ireland very few economic actions by them.

Schrodinger's original thought experiment, Schrodinger's Krakken, was discarded because, whether or not one looked in the box, there was always a greater than 50% probability he was in there working on a lame comeback article.
