What used to be - Lessons from eSA

In a game that is so reliant on the social, what should we as players strive to be. Morality is considered a RL issue by many and they entertain an alter ego within the game. The question has to be asked however; at what point does the morality that a person possesses in RL filter through to the game.

I'm not a noob. I have a lot of experience in this game. I successfully led eSouth Africa in two consecutive terms having a crucial role to play in making them a people that seek freedom and do not accept oppression. PHX members often point out that eSouth Africa is a Pro-EDEN country. What these people fail to realise is that eSouth Africa used to be a strictly neutral, not having any interest in Alliance politics. What they also fail to realise is that PHX and the dirty tactics they use forced eSA to become a pro-EDEN nation. Let me explain this a bit more:

After having a conflict of interest with Indonesian, eSouth Africa declared war on this oppressive nation. It was a suicide mission, but we managed to secure enough MPPS to hold the fort. The war was declared as a matter of pride and not against the then PEACE GC. Indonesia, unwilling to face us in open battle sponsored a PTO of eSA. Wizziedon running under the party “The church of Wizzidology” ran for president. He failed to reach his mark by 1 vote. The coming election however could not be defended and congress was PTO’ed. Our president was impeached and Wizzie took over, Brazil, who had region swapped with Indonesia earlier on in the conflict attacked and all regions were retreated. All true eSouth Africans were ordered to retreat to the eUS.

PEACE / PHX Lesson 1: They PTO rather than face us in combat.

After some time, we explored every option to regain our land. It was decided by the Brazilian government that they would sell us our regions for 300G a piece. The eSouth African community rallied and we raised the money. We got a few regions, but Brazil insisted on keeping Guateng, a key region for eSA as that is where most of out new players join. A crazed eUS player named Ajay Bruno decided it would be fun to PTO eSA, but failed. The then President Ines Schumacher decided that we could trust our friends the Brazillians and we decided to concede regions to them on a temporary basis so that we would not have so many seats to defend in the congress elections. A contract was signed, and although invalid, it was trusted in the guis of friendship. A stipulation of the contract was that Brazil would not use the regions for War. As soon as Brazil got the regions, they attacked eAustrailia, ruining the name and neutrality of eSA in the international community and ruining our friendship with Brazil.

PEACE / PHX Lesson 2: Don’t trust them to keep their word.

I then took over as president. I explored a friendly option with Brazil, and asked that they repay money owed to us. This never came to fruition. It became obvious that we had to explore the EDEN route and entered into talks with them. EDEN were not trusting of us and were unwilling to commit. During a diversionary RW on Guateng, the eSouth African government made a Gamble and decided to put our full resources in the offensive. The RW was lost, but EDEN had seen that were were taking the liberation of Guateng seriously and channels of communications were opened. There were rumors of wars, apparently Indonesia, for no better reason than lulz decided they were going to invade us. We fought to the bone to defend ourselves during this cowardly attack and successfully defended two regions and gained the initiative. We attacked the last region occupied by Indonesia and regained it. For the first time during my eLife Indonesia were out of Africa and their empire crumbled as they were reduced to their original regions.

PEACE / PHX Lesson 3: They are cowards and arrogant.

EDEN came to our aid when we needed them although for all reasons they should have not. We had found a brotherhood. PHX was not satisfied and using their agent under deep cover in eSouth Africa for close on a year, they managed to gain the presidency whilst working together with Channers who are known to cheat, hack and destroy peoples RL reputation all in the name of lulz, the country once again fell

Then after we worked hard as a nation, and managed to regain our nation with the help of our brothers in EDEN who always treated us as equals, they decided to attack again. They created a army of multis and they successfully PTO’ed the nation in the name of PHX and Hungary. They currently hold the Presidency and the Majority in congress.

PEACE / PHX Lesson 5: They cheat

So, as the eUK - How do you feel about betraying your ALANTIS brothers when Russia wanted a way through, you turned tail and took was was easiest, influenced by the likes of Glados. This is what you betrayed your friends for, a piece of the PHX cake. Well, That cake is rotten, and I personally will not have anything to do with it.
