West Midlands EPICPF Candidacy: Plugson’s Platform

Day 1,556, 23:10 Published in Canada Canada by Plugson

Hello all,

I have a very ordinary announcement to make about my candidacy in the West Midlands of the former territory of the unUnited Kingdom.
I’ve been a resident here for roughly 12 hours and have gotten to know the
-70 citizens of eCanada
-153 refugees
-Iron bonus
-French/Norman, Irish/Welsh, and English/future-refugee neighbours rather well.

Trenton eat your heart out

The only interesting thing I have to say about this place after reading the West Midlands eRPKWiki entry is that it is home to a hard to spell and even harder to say sauce that people in England actually drink.

Special appreciation goes out to EPIC for providing CPF the spring board to run on EPIC’s ballot. To wrap up, I will do the honours of quickly surveying my stance on CPF policy.

I support the Seven Tenets and will vote according to the 7s.

Seven Tenets of the Canadian Progressive Front
1. Uphold the equality of all active Military Units
--If that means equal funding and equal rights to access of information, then yes. But when it comes down to ranks and membership ~ que sera sera.

2. Make the accounting of government funding more open and important
--Yes, I would like to have non-sensitive funding information available to citizens in-game. Accounting will be more important if it has a presence in the media, as it once did. Not saying I’ll be publishing those facts, yet I would support such access.

3. Enhance our place in EDEN and TERRA
--Canada has a long rooted-tradition of aspiring towards Paradise and TEDEN is the fruit of such progress. I will vote to maintain and help grow these roots.

4. To respect, recognize and uphold the supremacy of the mechanics of the game
--It goes without saying that ‘we work within the liberties of game mechanics’ and that it trumps war and politics, and occasionally the media.

5. Develop a positive political sphere
--eCan’s scorched earth policies are the result of political feuds. Let’s have cool heads prevail. I will do my best to chill out when things get heated.

6. Bring in Canadians to eRepublik
--I have nothing against more Canadians in eRepublik. If a sentimental attachment to an RL nationality helps our player retention, then it should be tapped like the oil sands of Alberta, the maple trees of Quebec and Ontario, and the wallets of every overtaxed RL Canadian.

7. To encourage growth and stability to the eCanadian economy, by making forever available credit and bursaries to the general public
--Recent developments in MU Building programs will do well to replace the vacancy left by the Construction program. I’ll support other such programs that are balanced in the budget and have strong oversight.

Please look to the ballot in the West Midlands to vote for a forum-free Congressman who will actively vote on in-game proposals on in-game matters.

Thank you very much,
Plugson
