Millionaire Playboy Philanthropist Wayne executed by Underestimated Big Ant AKA Illegal Name



TLDR:
*Duel of death with Dictator Wayne and President Huey both struggling to survive (SPOILER: WAYNE DIES).

*eUK being proposed to by two Alliances, one suicidally vague and one clinically insane.

*Financial madness, all bets are off as everyone goes bonkers with failed or thieving money proposals.

*Don Dapper and Big Ant dream team returns like 2014 never ended, pissing everyone off by making all our dreams come true.



GEOPOLITICS

AVALON ALLIANCE
A King Arthur themed Alliance between Ireland, Canada and UK. Congress was very positive on this Alliance and it has already been basically confirmed by the Government and previous Congress. While I am heavily in favour of this because it protects a big part of our borders and improve relations with similar nations, I think that these silly Alliance names need to stop, it just makes it look unprofessional and therefore harder to support in war.


UNNAMED ALLIANCE
Another Alliance proposal, this one was far less developed so I'll keep it quiet for now. I will say that it's with some friendly countries but we would be one of the stronger countries in it. Congress was mostly neutral or negative about the Alliance itself but supported the countries involved. It wasn't that strong, is enemies with a strong country and lacking detail so I think it's wait and see until they come back with more stuff.


MPPs
Congress voted for Croatia and against Cuba. I didn't feel informed enough by the MoFA and MoD to have an opinion (ie they didn't specifically say anything), I feel that we should be looking at random countries like this on the basis of if they are at war or not. I don't want another no battles dry spell like we had a few weeks ago, it's simply unacceptable to have nowhere to fight without moving.




eUK POLITICS

REVOLUTION
Big Ant started a Revolution against Wayne and officially won a medal for it.

The majority of Congress was in favour of having a Revolution, however most wanted to shut down the one we had for two reasons:
1) Anything BigAnt says and does is automatically evil, even if we previously supported that position.
2) We need to make loads of fake laws and have even more votes before even considering to stop doing nothing about anything.

I feel that people need to grow up and be a little more pragmatic. Wayne randomly being Dictator because the last CP Adastros abused his position and gave it to his friend wasn't right. BigAnt getting a little bit of credit for doing it, even putting some of our stolen money to use (basically giving it back), is a really minor and spiteful reason to oppose your own principles. He is hated so much that I don't see how this one positive incident will help him.

Fake laws never worked and the last one written about who should be Dictator was totally ignored by CP Adastros. Please stop coming back to this insanity guys. I'm glad that Congress failed in sabotaging the return of it's own power, I really don't understand the comments made on this topic (see my last article for more details).


IMPEACHMENT
Huey was also the target of an attempt to overthrow him. Huey is the best person in eUK, always professional and polite. However that also means that he doesn't take sides and is quite passive. I don't think this is what we need in a leader, I need a guy to rile me up and inspire me! This is really important to keep newbies in the game. I expect a lot more from a CP. His Government has also been very quiet, I've already mentioned how I felt under informed on some of the proposals outside of my areas of expertise. They don't seem to be doing much. So I voted against Huey to send a message about boring Governments not being tolerated. Congress chose to keep him but only just, I'm glad that he is staying in a way but I'm still worried about out Government being boring for another month.


CITIZENSHIP
Don Dapper AKA Bruce Wayne is apparently buying up Congress Citizenship passes again. Congress isn't impressed. Please ignore this guys, there was too much drama last time we went down this road. If you really need the money I'm sure that someone can donate you something to make up for it. Nobody in Congress wants this to happen again. The "Elite PM Cabal" AKA Wayne's friends apparently have a super Citizenship system ready, however they haven't involved Congress in this so it isn't going to happen. We need to know about it to follow it lol 😁




FINANCE

TREASURY THEFT
Wayne donated 1,082,000 GBP to himself. He said that this was for Combat Orders and Money Market Gambling, pretty normal stuff if true but no detailed accounts have been given of spending and income. I think that a theft is less likely because he didn't buy any Combat Orders or Mercenaries to save his Dictatorship (BigAnt did spend a previously stolen treasury to overthrow him though). However if you already have the cash maybe there's no point continuing in power.

Give us the accounts Wayne. This has also been requested by President Huey.


MINIMUM WAGE
Raising the Minimum Wage to 56 GBP was my own manifesto commitment. Now yes, I did copy/paste Ed Milliband's manifesto as a satire editing IRL names for eRepublik names. This is actually a real life daily figure! I don't agree with MU communes and this would destroy them, I think we burn out players on pointless donation of weapons to avoid tax. However I was told that this would also raise Work as Manager, now that would be a disaster for the economy so I'm glad that my mistake was voted down. If IRL themed Minimum Wage is bad, then let's stop IRL themed fake law discussions thanks 🙂


TAX RISES
Wayne dropped the Work Tax down to 1%. It's being raised back up to 3% since everyone supported it so you'll have less money starting from tomorrow. Why is it being raised? The information given by Huey was that it would buy us more MPPs but it seems like this money will be saved for future MPPs and wars. Every time we have done this it's been stolen. Saving up the money is pointless, I believe that we need to spend all income ASAP and plough it into training up our players to be better fighters.


PRINT MONEY
Someone wanted to turn our treasury Gold into GBP. Discuss things before proposing them Congressmen! Any sudden proposal involving money transfers or changes is being voted down by me unless it's been explained and discussed for a few days to scam proof it.
