Ti chiamo io, tra oggi e domani
Patanjali
Please, answer the question (in the middle of text)
Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ
Namaste.
Ad calendas graecas (solver) – Calends where, in Roman Empire (and Latin world) the first day of the month (also the day of debts payment). Meantime, in the Greek world (area of civilization) the calendar was different, without … “calends” and, that for, those who do not want to pay, postpone it to “Greek calends”.
Those days I speak with a friend of mine, in RL, from Italy, Naples and, in the end of discussion, he told me: I will call you “tra oggi e domani”, meaning between today and tomorrow.
He did not call me since then.
However, this make me think to the following ...: D
Umberto Eco (a famous Italian writer) have a novel named „ The island of yesterday“ which is constructed around the paradox created by the international agreement on time.
The fact that 0 meridian cross Greenwich and, from there, the rest of the globe began to be ... „time charted“ gave the author the pretext to recall the middle age beliefs of Europeans (not so educated back then
😃) from which, one especially imagine that at the „end of the world“
Even time is different, and one could live, forever, in the day of yesterday, because there time is always one day back comparing to England / Europe.
I believe that, this for, they also named an island „Paradise island“
🙂.
Sure, in them youth all civilizations had such ... naive representations of the world.
In Egypt world was created by Ra, the primordial god, by swallowing he’s own seed and then vomit the world, which was surrounded by other world (higher or lower).
Brahma wake up and see Hari coming on a nice swan to tell him the sacred word, and so the world began.
Finally, everyone imagine the world somehow but, very interesting, I believe, for everyone the world have a beginning
and ... an end.
Either a god or a disaster will, eventually, destroy the world, one day.
How many concepts you know in which the world is not to disappear, to cease to exist, one day?
This question is very important and, I beg you, answer it, to could develop in comments.
Also, tell us if you believe the world should have a begging and an end ?
A time paradox like this invoked at the beginning could bring one not only eternal youth but also it could grant the exemption of taxes
🙂.
Still, time say nothing and ... pass, with meridians differences or not, but if we could stop it, or even travel through him...
One could say this is the kind of dream that all elders (not to say old ppl) have and, that for, they always tend to believe that … “before” was better. Sensing the sadness of the time passing and of the impossibility to master him.
It is some truth here, sure, but youngsters also could use time mastering.
For example, they could learn, by seeing how things have been, what really happen, etc.
Sure, learning is not a primary target for a youngster, but he could just travel and meet others, fall in love a thousand times (if one could fall in love so many times in a life) and have awesome adventures.
See, I don’t think we gave enough importance to this dimension of our life, the TIME. We just let it pass and, sometimes, we want it to pass, faster, so we could grow up, forget, go forward, etc.
I also believe this dimension of our life’s is the most important one, no matter what our aims are.
Sadly, hart and/or feelings seems not to be the answer to this problem.
Meri shubhkaamanaaye aapke saath hai !

I guess world will end one day (may be not complete humankind but majority of land will be un-livable for the humans) and it may happen sooner than we think and in our or our kids or grand kids life time. Resources are limited in this world and world has already over crowded but human by its natural living instincts find ways to survive and invent different things live GMO food or different fuel and will find more.
But there is still limits to the resources and there will be fight for resources (fight is still going on) and human had made such destructive resources that can destroy the world many times. It is just a matter of time.
Last week I was in a museum 'Cradle of humankind' in South Africa (google it) and you will find some interesting things on their website (hope as I only saw the museum and not checked the website ) and saw some millions of years old human fossil. Africa is considered as the start of human kind and some nice facts (or may be not).
I know only one philosophy to claim that world / life have no begining nor an end. A indian one.
which one Patanjali?

None so far
Also, tell us if you believe the world should have a begging and an end ?
[Neel] Everything in this world is "true" if it is presented in "Material form" even "god". As such for any concept to be concetrized is the natural conclusion of a beginging and a end and the cycle begins again in a subtle way that we wouldnt know the begining and end is the same just like TIME. today is the past that passed by, future is the moment that is NOW. Past is so History. Time is a capsule that behold all the three in a single moment
If we take the inspiration for the answers to your questions from nature (which I like to think is the representative essence of the whole universe), it becomes quite obvious - it's a cycle. And given my limitations as a sinful human, I know of only this way to find out the truth.
