The Sad Story of ePakistan

The Sad Story of ePakistan
Before I start answering the various questions and allegations that have been posted, I’m going to tell you how the concept of the opposition was born.
As presently self-appointed secretary general of The Legendary Opposition, I have no desire to run for Congress or for CP or even for Party Chairmanship; by basic laws set out I am restricted to be the chief organizer of The Legendary Opposition and cannot hold any other political or governmental position.
Why did I start this? Before I explain, let me take you back approximately one year when I joined the game, July 5th 2011. I was invited by Hamis11 and started playing the game, it’s not a hard game so I picked up the basics quite quickly, bought some gold and started to level up. I never asked for any donations but constantly looked for advice on how to best play this game. During that time, raao was CP and ePakistan expanded like no tomorrow, took over India for a few weeks and all seemed amazing. I alongside many ePakistani’s fought. We slowly started losing regions and it is than I understood that our nation is built on the generosity of our allies in ONE. Disgusted, I went back to simply clicking for training and working in the game, buying gold whenever the offer came. On and off I would re-join, drop as many bazookas I could afford, supply Q6 tanks to the MoD for RW, the only verifiable proof I have is the 7.5m damage I did in Sindh against China which in all honesty was there to achieve a Battle Hero medal.
So in conclusion, I never went against ePakistan, I fought in the interest of ePakistan, invited well over 200 people into ePakistan, donated towards wars and was a average citizen of the country.

I was than for no apparent reason kicked and banned by certain individuals in ePakistan which in my mind was the official channel of our great country, after several warnings that I do not appreciate being treated like this, escalated into an abusing match where I was insulted, my family was insulted and threats were made against me. Upon further investigation I found out that I was not the first one to abused like there and there were others. I immediately complained to several senior players and practically begged them to intervene and remove the person responsible for this uneducated, dictatorship type approach only to hear that he is a senior player, he has done a lot for the country, this is your personal issue, why are you fighting?
So at this point, I was super annoyed that being a loyal citizen of ePakistan, I’m treated worse than the PTOers that reside in the channel, I immediately set out to GTFO of ePakistan to which some of the senior members of ePakistan were very kind in guiding me to which citizenship I should apply for. I ended up paying to obtain US citizenship where I met Ishmael who introduced me to EZC and the political structure in USA. I was amazed that not a single person in #usa-chat the official channel of eUSA was treated badly, players there fought but had mutual respect for each other and no one was above one another.

Again I re-joined #epakistan only to be treated badly again and again I complained only receiving the same answers as before from members of the CoE who couldn’t provide justice. All they had to do in my opinion was remove the privilege of a certain individual so that he can no longer ban or kick or break rules as he sees fit.

So finally after the intervention of raao, I was guaranteed safe passage into ePakistan under his protection with the condition that I should not provoke that certain individual and all will be well but I than noticed that the problem doesn’t like just with that individual its wide spread. There are some people in ePakistan who feel they can do whatever they like, there are some people in ePakistan who can’t face reality.

So I asked myself a question, which was what does ePakistan mean to you? A GAME was the answer within a mico-second. Other countries develop their new players to become political warrior our government only oppresses and highlights the constant fear of PTO and how it’s important we unite. What happened to campaigning? What happened to ideas? Innovations? Most congress members didn’t even bother to right speeches, our present CP didn’t bother either.
So after a lot of back and forth and natural alliances formed due to the bad strategy of the CoE, I found myself to be with fellow ePakistani’s who believed a change can be brought in the governing structure. We together set out and created The Legendary Opposition which will ensure equality, which will bring the spirit of the game back, which will encourage more ePakistani’s to step forward and propose their ideas that can be publically discussed and which will fight for a prosperous future of ePakistan.

Now to answer some of your questions
Q1 What is the objective of The Legendary Opposition?
Our objective is to work with all citizens of ePakistan and develop them and ourselves further where we can have a sizeable and stable ePakistan. This requires a number of initiatives but most importantly requires considerable activity.
To instil into the minds of young ePakistani’s to vote for the most eligible candidate and not one appointed by the CoE, citizens who aspire to be congressmen, party leaders, and presidents should apply and publically announce what their plan is.
Our fundamental belief is that all ePakistani’s are equal regardless of when they joined the game. More information on the party can be found at http://www.epakistan.org which is under construction and new content is added regularly.
Q2 Why did you post such a negative article on ClusterStorm’s manifesto?
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/vote-no-for-clusterstorm-2073351/1/20

That post is in line with party objectives which is to elect the best candidate, ClusterStorm one wrote it in urdu which is not a global language and most people can’t understand it apart from a few ePakistanis, he later than added a translation but after a number of people complained. We analysed his policies and criticised them. It wasn’t meant to hurt feelings. A CP who writes his campaign speech in URDU, only than to present it in English in my opinion is out of date with the realities of the game. So to recap, apart from the title there was no negativity intended behind it, the party firmly believes that Ishmael is a better candidate and should be the face of ePakistan and this isn’t based on whose turn is it next to be CP or what services they did or did not do for ePakistan it’s based on the present and the future. The party would rather have a strong candidate who is fluent in English who can present his ideas on time and represent ePakistan on a global level.

Q3 What exactly do you want?
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/wga-bozli-2074106/1/20
I’ve answered this above but to be crystal clear, I want this game to be fun for all ePakistanis, I want ePakistani’s to develop themselves, take active part in country decisions, elect officials based on merit and to be treated equally. All ideas even from the newest player should be taken into consideration and not rebuffed with the excuse you are new you don’t understand. The Legendary Opposition will provide such a platform and as we grow in number we will have a significant impact on ePakistan.

Q4 You “imported” a candidate from eUSA into ePakistan! Why?
Ishmael is a very able, smart and talented individual, his time in eUSA has allowed him to establish relationships with a number of powerful countries. For the last few weeks he has been coming daily into ePakistan and is fully aware of the situation ePakistan is in. The party has 100% faith in Ishmael that he is the right man for the job of CP.
Q5 Is this a good time to this? We need unity and baby boom growth, you’re just creating confusion!
There is never a right time for change, because those who don’t want it will oppose it because they are used to their way of life. ePakistan is in a sad state, constantly living in fear, unable to attract new players and retain them with some people ruling in absolute control without any regard for new players. The system needs to evolve and The Opposition is already working on recruiting new players, we are individually messaging friends to join the game and as we grow in numbers and establish our projects more we will opt for a mass invite of the game.
In terms of destabilizing ePakistan, we disagree, our objectives are very much in line with many citizens of ePakistan where we want to get from Point A where we are today to Point B where we will be a prosperous nation. We differ on the path of getting to point B.
Q6 Allegations have surfaced that you are just power hungry is this true?
Absolutely not, we are not doing this for gold, currency or power. We are very much capable of fully funding all our ambitious projects ourselves, our objective is to build up ePakistan which is what we will do.
Q7 It would have been better for the Opposition to nominate TheJakal as CP as he is more known in ePakistan, why didn’t you?
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/are-we-really-puppets--2073106/1/20

I have no interest in running for CP or for Congress because I fear I may not be able to put in the time that is required. Hence I fully support and endorse Ishmael who has the same goals as I do and is much more well connected in eRepublik than I am.
Conclusion:
If you have questions, feel free to put them in comments. The Legendary Opposition looks forward in being a driving force in ePakistan for the betterment of our lives.
